They are about to lose 2 buyers if they wanna wait till October!! Do they realize there is people traveling from around the country to go to these events ? Not everyone can hop on a plane at a moments notice and go to an SX.

To be fair, there has been several threads about this topic in the last month or two. But in all honesty people here downvote anything and everything. It’s anonymous so it kinda encourages it.

Same boat, I have a couple of friends that need to take international flights. They are getting nervous.

I know the first round is on Jan 5th, 2019 in Anaheim. The last round is in May in Las Vegas. All the rest is just filler races! Stamp it!!

I don't think we're going to see the traditional 17 rounds this year. Something tells me there's a lot of overhauling going on.

I’m wandering if they have to wait till after monster cup. If they are switching networks, maybe they can’t say anything because fox sports won’t let them.

The last I heard was to expect it after the Monster Energy Cup.

Less than 3 months before I presume the 2019 season starts, presumably Anaheim 1. Pushing that for all it's worth.

That's what I'm thinking. At a minimum, there will probably be a big change with the TV broadcast.

Sometimes I think about how weird this sport is compared to other sports. Do we think the factories have an idea about the 2019 schedule or not? How are the contracts written for the factory riders? What if the Supercross series somehow gets cut down to just 10 rounds or canceled altogether? Do the factories have "outs" on the contracts, or still have to pay these guys? What if Feld decided they want to run a 20 or 25-race series? Do the factory racers just have to do it, even if they only committed to 17?

Such a weird relationship between Feld, AMA, factories and racers.

Interesting theory.

Though when NFL rights have changed networks in the past, that hasn't affected announcements of who is carrying the event in future seasons.

Me and my buddies have made a tradition of flying to Phoenix and making a weekend out of the race. Some of their jobs require them to give a huge heads up for time off. September 18th is probably far enough out for all of us to make it. But had we waited til MEC it may have been a different story

the daytona event @ mar 9 should be pretty safe to bank on, as it coordinates with bike week. and yes, lots of us want to know the dates this far in advance, hotels for that round get nuts, as bike week attendees scoop up most everything decent within an hour drive...

It's even worse for the small private teams trying to find sponsors and riders and establish a budget.

What if Feld sold it?

Parts unlimited is no longer a series sponsor. Maybe that has something to do with the delay

Heard they are bringing back 2 rounds at Pontiac and the Kingdome. Vegas has been replaced by the LA Coliseum. And they are adding Stadium Super Trucks and Ultracross.WoohooWoohooWoohoo
