What about Alta? What about Honda? ET3 is just a few Motos too late to save his undefeated season.

I can’t imagine that someone would race an all new, untested motorcycle with no aftermarket parts halfway through the nationals.

No way Eli was switching bikes mid season. Why would he? He's in beast mode, save the "still adjusting to the all new bike" excuses for 2019 SX

Though I did hear he's expected to run it at MXdN, assuming he's selected. Which, I can't say I'm stoked to hear. Would rather he sticks with what he earned a 2018 Outdoor Championship on (barring anything crazy happening)

Positively, absolutely 110% obsessed with anything MOTO.

I’d think electric start may be worth a few positions/points if points got tight for him for some reason

RV did it

Rv did it but he was already behind in the points chase.

I'm sure he's ridden it already and if he likes it he'll switch like mid season like RV did in 2012. If he's not feeling it they may force him to ride it anyways for the marketing. We shall see.

Huh? Pretty sure when he switched he was in the points lead, hence him having the red plate at Unadilla that year.

RV wanted the new bike - didn't feel like he was gelling with the current bike. I think it's safe to say Eli is the zone bros

When you’re as good as Eli, if the bike is as good as they say it is, he’ll be on it in the next two rounds. I guarantee he’s been riding and testing it already. He may even show up on it next weekend.

No way he’ll switch even if he does like it. They don’t have enough race parts etc. No reason to push it when he’s comfortable on the current bike after working hard to get that way.

Lap times at test track will be the deciding factor.

I asked the team quite a while ago, and they said no for during the season. There was very little for factory parts.

They don’t be racing it this outdoor season. When Villopoto did in 2011, the 12 was a chassis, swigaem and bodywork update. Their current suspension, wheels, engine and electronics bolted right up. So many parts are different and the overall character of the 18 to 19 is way too different to do it mid season.

Nope, rode it for the photo shoot and that’s it.

If Tomac gets on the 19 this summer and wins that will sell bikes! But what if that was the one race that he had bad luck and got 2nd or worse. Pit pundits would talk
