Meanwhile, you still can’t get 2018 105 Cylinders. Poor choices with Indonesia and China manufacturing... I see the brand headed in the wrong direction unfortunately.

Maybe so but tell that to all the consumers...

To think if they put the 2019 65 in the stores while Yamaha still hasn’t released their 2018 65 to all stores yet.
Yamaha are on the cusp of a big fail not just in the USA but other countries as well.

It’s always tough to find a good balance of quality with mass production a d such high demand. Good thing for you is that means more mod work to fix their flaws. lol.

I know its not mx related and I cant be 100% sure but working at a ktm dealer my experience with their smaller road bike range has been hell. all the parts come in totally different packaging to any other parts and the quality of them is disgusting.. kinda screams chinese to me

Is it just me or does the geometry look kinda weird? like the forks are more raked out like an 90s two stroke, wheras the newer mx bikes are longer and flatter but with steeper head angle keeping the wheelbase similiar overall

So I guess the color scheme for '19 bikes has reverted back to the look of the '17 models.

Where are the engines made?

There is a "rumor" that Beta doesn't build an 85cc due to a non compete contract they had signed when they were manufacturing the KTM 50cc engines, it makes me wonder if they still do?

I thought I read that with the 18 KTM 85's went "in-house" for engines. The previous 2013-2017 85 engines where Beta/TM.

That isnt a 2019 85. Looks like a old big wheel. Is this the moto version of fake news? I heard ktm is making a flat track bike...more fake news.

When my fuel pump vent out and almost kill me on my 16 and 1/2 FE I removed the pump out and was made in Malaysia. The new one what I put in was made in Slovakia. So Ktm has the parts made all over the world.

I thought that too, but I think it is because its leaned up against a wall instead of on a stand which is creating a bit of an optical trick.

Interesting, I hadn't heard TM before? They make a competitive model so that seems odd.

Found this:
"Do you produce engines for the Husqvarna brand and are these different to the KTM versions?
Yes we do produce for Husqvarna. The engines are [mechanically] much the same, with just some small differences in the gearing. We produce all the engines for KTM and Husqvarna with the exception of the 85cc single cylinder, but as of 2018 we will also build this engine here.

Will you need to make any changes to production operations to accommodate the 85cc unit?
No. We can add this without any problems. It’s very similar to the 125cc engine and the assembly procedure is almost the same."

The 390s are manufactured in India. How in the fuck do you work at a dealership and not know that? I'm in Brisbane. Which dealership are you at so I know to avoid it?

That bike is assembled in India, but the part suppliers could be based anywhere worldwide. Along with the suppliers' suppliers... A bike is not one part. It is an assembly of parts.

The 390 is not a "real" KTM. Its made in a Bajaj factory with Bajaj parts and Bajaj quality control. Thats why they suck.
