I hope they perform well, aesthetically, the majority of the bike looks like one big afterthought. They have always made such sexy bikes, this one is falling on its face. The OCD side of me is going nuts over the chopped logo too.
Dang, now the OCD side of me has the chopped logo and a shroud that looks like it has a hangnail that needs to be cut...

agreed. they're going for a race-forward aesthetic in the shroud/tank area but came up a bit short, mainly because of that odd, risen area and also after the shroud transitions to the tank, it kinda falls flat. All in all I've grown to like this look, but it's not the direction I expected since being so into their recent KTM-acquired debut.
Blue frame is kind of cool. Better than black. The shrouds and side plates look horrendous though.
Is there a point to the split side plate? Only thing I can think of is it being part of a breather for the air box but I haven't seen one in person to look.
The exhaust side number plate and shroud are kind of throwing me off. I know that the sub-frame is a 2- piece design now , but what is the deal with designing the plate like that? And yeah....the sharp lip on the shroud?
They went from the best looking to fugly in just a few short years.
Think of the weight savings with no graphics
. The graphics companies will love this design.
Accentuating the fugly crack in the rear number plates with yellow is idiotic. The yellow under the front plate is also. Acerbis will sell a lot of white fork guards.
The frame and seat blue needs to be a few shades lighter, from a distance it looks black.

Thankfully (for me) the TE models aren't like that. I don't like the split side number plate either.
Wow, thankful I bought a 2018. Blue frame looks terrible and the plastics are goofy. I am sure they perform well which is what they need to do but damn they are the ugly duckling now..with a hang nail.
shroud, plate combo reminds of a drz somehow, and that's not good!

Think they took a little inspiration from the 90s

This is exactly what i thought about when i first saw the new bike.... some of you guys commenting on the ugliness of the aesthetics need to see the bike in person. Ill agree the number plate deal is kind of funky but not soooo bad in person and the way they wrap the plastics around the composite subframe with it being exposed in a short section in the rear look so badass!
Something has really gone sideways in the husky design center.
The Shop
They look damn good. Especially with the blue frames.
