This. Have the PC pipe and long silencer on my bike and it made a big difference.

Bigger outdoor tracks.... longer silencer. It's all I run. Keep the Shorty's for the smaller tracks.

Change the pipe instead

PC pipe and R304 has great big power. My fave was the Bill’s pipe and carbon fiber silencer, plenty of overall power. PC hits hard. Bill’s was the loudest. Tried FMF, seemed to be the mellowest.

Jeff Slavens has a video about pipes, I’ll try and embed it.

UPS man what jetting are you running? The JD Jet Kit was the biggest difference in overall power improvement- more than a pipe and silencer.

No. That piece of tinsel KTM calls a pipe is a joke.

I’m running stock pipe with PC silencer (longer one). Doesn’t fall off as soon.

BtW, That video is for pre 2017 ktm 250's. Ive heard from one person who went through all the pipes & said the Scalvini workedbest for his 2017 250Sx.
Easy fix on stock is to fully weld the spring hooks around the front of the hook to prevent cracking.

Agree with Jeff on the PC setup and JD kit. Both were noticeable improvements.

Is your engine all stock otherwise?

Lectron carb

I have a few friends who’ve all put them on their bikes. I did the same on my RM 250 and SX 150 with great results. My 2 cents

I am about done for the year riding wise due to the winter and i don’t have time to ride indoors i think a 450 main 37 pilot stock everything else with vp 110 and 927 oil, dont quote me on that though

Well I can attest to the Scalvini pipes. I have one on the RM and the TC 125....... awesome pipes! I plan on getting another one for the new TC 250 as well.

I have a couple mates with 2017 250sx's, both vet riders. One had the pc pipe and R304 setup, the other has the fmf fatty with ktm/fmf 2.1 muffler. The guy with the fmf setup rode the pc setup and said he couldn't believe anyone could ride that set up. The guy with the pc setup rode the fmf setup and went and bought the fmf setup.

What they said to me was that the pc was similar to stock with more over rev. The fmf added a little bit everywhere and was much smoother

I rode another RM that ran the PC pipe setup and it was exactly the same for me. Only good on the over rev. I ran an FMF fatty and Knarly pipe. Knarly was an exact opposite of the PC pipe.....all the power was down low , with no over rev at all. The Fatty is really similar to my Scalvini......with just a
tad bit more over rev then the Scalvini. But the Scalvini had a better hit coming off idle , all the way through the middle. It's also the toughest , best fitting pipe I have ever used.
