How har do you have to hit the wall to do that? Not bend or twist the forks and from the pic the front wheel didn't buckle to much either. Wounded if he hit his head hard on that wall to get that bend? So many questions unanswered.
Most of the spokes are broken and the wheel looks like a lot like a taco to me.! Taco Bell aftermath!

This type of warranty claim usually reads...

"I was just riding along..."

Seems to me the wheels bent up pretty good, the forks may be bent/twisted a little (they look waaaaay better than I'd expect. There's minimal "body damage"; so, the "straight into a wall" crash seems likely. The frame failed right where you'd expect it to...Behind all the welds/major gussets and in-front of the "engine mounting areas". It would be interesting to look inside that tubing...

I'd say it's one helluva test!

I am willing to bet something was backed into this bike. Like a forklift, truck, or tractor.

My thoughts were that some kid pulled this out of the crate and had the shot of being the first one to ever ride it..... and he did so. Into the back wall of the dealership building. Insurance claim time! Poor kid had the high and certain low of his life in the span of 30 seconds......
kinda like my wedding day......

The second IG picture should have been of the X-rays of the person responsible for that kind of damage. I'd be shocked if he/she walked away unscathed.

That's a strong possibility. If someone actually hit head on into a wall or trailer , that person isn't going to be feeling good. That poor freakin' bike though....damn!

I was thinking if Honda Corp. sees this pic on social media they'll want to recoup the bike for analysis damage. Interesting on how the frame broke in that area.

I would love to hear the story of this stupidity, it kind of reminds me of those guys who total their new Ferrari pulling away from the dealership....

I've learned that people can be convinced of anything.

That bike was caught between an unforgiving wall and a truck. The truck and it's unencumbered inertia resulted in the Honda frame breaking at it's weakest point. The extruded aluminum tube has a nice clean break and the only thing that would cause that kind of damage (along with all the spokes breaking) is being smashed with thousands of tons of force, not a high speed impact into a wall. If anything, the latter would break the triple clamps. So I'm going with a truck driver backed his rig into and an ill-placed brand new motorcycle and crushed it like an aluminum can.

Or maybe it was strength tested.

Or maybe aliens dropped it from a UFO.

Having been in the automotive/snowmobile manufacturing industry (welding and spot welding) back in the day and knowing that all welds have to go thru durability testing, chances are this is a test bike that was set up a fixture and put into a press so the engineers could see how much force it took for the welds to fail and to make sure they failed in the correct places.

I also am saying this because there is not a serial number on this bike on the normal spot where everyone of my CRF's have theirs at on upper top of the frame by the gas tank. A production bike would have one, This does not so my guess is that its at some plant some where if I was a betting man.

After we would finish with our weld destruction testing on production snowmobiles back in the day, Arctic Cat would scrap all of the sleds when we were done and they just needed to save serial numbers for accounting reasons. So they would cut the complete sled in half on a giant band saw and store every thing in a giant salvage yard. Then once a year we would be able to buy the front and rear halves of the sleds out of the salvage yard and what ever else we could find. You should have seen the looks on peoples faces going down the road when they see a half of a sled on a trailer...... It's pretty funny!!!!

So like I said, my guess is something like that is going on here if I had to guess.

Another classic. Just when you think the joke has run its course, another group of unsuspecting id10ts comes along and it's funny all over again.

I still bust out the tech jokes on end users, or PM's on a regular basis. Keeps it fun.

Agree. Been in the automotive industry for a little over 3 decades & familiar with structural damage in collision repair. Have worked with steel, aluminum & other substrates so I figured it took severe force to cause that damage.
I don't think it would have been caused by someone running the bike into the wall. It was more than likely caused by a heavy vehicle causing brute force to cause the frame to snap like that.
There also isn't other visible scrapes on the plastic to appear the bike was moving when the damage occurred.
