Mike Treadwell and John Dowd will be there.
"Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower."
I hope they have it next year. I just had my appendix removed otherwise I would go this year.
This is scheduled for the same weekend as the "New England Gold Cup Classic" at Hemonds. MX racing in New England is too watered down. We have too many organizations trying to pull from the same crop of riders and all it's doing is thinning the gates. 15 years ago, there was only the NESC. There was a good chance that you had to qualify to the 40 man gate for moto 2 because the entries were so high. Then they had a pissing match with Middleboro so Middleboro decided to start their own series. Then along came NEMX, then Winchester, MMS and Back 40. Fast forward to today and there are maybe 10 guys in most classes (on a good day) because everyone is so spread out. Sorry for the soap box rant but I was just having this conversation with a buddy this morning when we were trying to decided whether to race this or stick with tradition and go the Gold Cup.

For sure. I remember racing D34 and having to qualify for C class every weekend. You couldn't even find a place to park half the time.
Now there are so many outlaw districts in NY that they cannibalize each others events. D34, D3, MSC, Upstate MX, Empire State MX, WNYRacing. Most gates are 10-12 dude, and a big gate is 20 guys now.
It doesn't help that half the districts end up with nearly 70 gate drops from having so many classes that you don't get out until 9 pm.
That b/c could mean double gate drop scored separately...likely depends on # of riders....combined classes are a great way to speed up the program.....
Anyone happen to get the 25+B and B open results? I left once it started to down pour and never got to see my results!
sure was good reading some of those names.... hope the event was deemed successful and keep stuff like this going, would love to have been there.
