22 riders straight into a sand section = Carnage

Your going to want to pull a holeshot for sure.

Two cool things about the track.
1. 2 Over/Under bridges
2. 2 horse shoes in the stands.

I'm thinking the green blocks are the joker lane.

Yup. You turn under the bridge normally it looks like. Or vise verse. Would be cool if they made the joker lane the shorter version instead of longer.

They did the shorter joker lane last year. Everyone at the front took it on lap 1. Made no difference in the results because it took the strategy out of it.

Definitely a Joker Lane. But the non-joker lane looks slow af. Short rhythm section, then hard on the brakes for a 90 degree left...under the bridge, another 90 degree left, then down to a 180 degree right? I feel like it's not going to be MUCH faster than the Joker lane. We'll see.

Can't wait though! Definitely going this year!

From the side view you can see that the regular course cuts under the finish line over to the start straight. The green tough blocks are the joker lane and they go down a bit farther and then cut over.

i could be mistaken from joker lanes of past years, as it could've been the same type of scenario, but doesn't this one look like there could be problems with a guy on the inside deciding to take the joker lane and t-boning a guy making the turn? I suppose that could just play in to the strategy of when you decide to / have to take it - being on the outside and staying straight.

That arrow needs to be extended to cover the entire perimeter of the track. passing is going to be hard on these long high speed no jump sweeping turn areas.

Agreed, sweeping alternating turns would be better.

Looks like a interesting design. Good they think outside the box sometimes for this 1 event.

Yeah I would be worried about someone taking that joker lane slamming into the guys who are hard on the brakes to take the regular lane. I would imagine they're gonna be on the gas to make that triple and just to get through it as quick as possible.

I can see collisions happening as a person is exiting the joker lane wfo down the start straight, and someone comes out of the main line under the tunnel. Lines come together and serious carnage happens.

It’s just a longer faster SX track.

Super one lined and hard to pass.... Arcing corners don't help passing in moto or SX. How have we not learnt this yet?

Hairpins with big berms people. The formula works.

Ever year i have high expectations with monster cup. but it always seems one lined and the same style of racing.

It would be good to see a more tighter track and some early 2000's sx style sections happening. I get the wide open and fast sections is the hot thing the past few years... but over the past years, the tighter technical tracks have always turned out to be great races.

This is the coolest MEC ever with the MC Trade Show and a SX race to be together. MC industry have been asking for this forever.

1st time ever for the National Motorcycle Trade Show to ever come to the West. The show is Thursday- Sunday with Thursday & Friday for media and industry and Saturday and Sunday for generic public. Stop by the Moto Hose booth next to Yamaha and say Hi!

every year everyone says the joker lane will cause carnage with those not takin the joker lane. Has it happened yet, I cant recall anyone actually crashing due to the lanes coming together.

It's more so the exit meeting down the straight. I must have missed some good stuff last night by the way.
