We are at a points race and our Factory Edition started sputtering in the middle of second practice. It will only run if you give it throttle. As soon as you let off it shuts down. Bike has 25hrs. 5th fuel filter has been put in, I pulled it out and inspected it. It appears to be debris free, this one only has an hour or so on it. We went over all connections, and nothing is out of place. Airbox had no dirt behind filter. It seems like a fuel issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Oh and same fuel is being ran the bike we have been loaned to try to get some points so the fuel doesn't appear to be the issue!

I recall kinked fuel lines being an issue before but maybe they rectified that? Not sure but if you think its fuel related and have new filter and pump is good??

Try adjusting your tps. Had a similar issue with my 350. Fixed immediately.

Replaced, my 350 did the same thing a few years ago. Saw a friends Kawi do it in the spring.

Is this a dealer only part? I have been looking online and do not see it listed.

I guess I will learn to keep an extra tps for each bike. After our nightmare with our 15 YZ250F I was hoping to never have that problem again....

I looked on motorsport before and didn't find one quick. Usually get that stuff at my local dealer just to help them out tho.

What track are you at?

We were at Halfmoon MX last night. I plan on calling the dealer Tuesday morning!

Also check the wiring at the connector of your Fuel Injector. Pop the connector off and look at the wires going into it. And adjacent areas near shock. Wires can get pinched in shock if not secure. Also if not dealer prepped right wires can have too much tension on them leading to breaks.

I traced all the lines the best I could at the track! Will check that connector tomorrow morning! Thanks!

Waiting on a fuel pump. I choose to buy another 18 complete assembly as the 19 is on back order. Hopefully KTM will warranty the original pump whenever the 19 pumps are available.... Trying to rush to get the bike ready for our Cali trip!

Turns out it was a fuel pump. Gotta give a shout out to my dealer Brewers Cycle for getting us ready asap! The 19 pump is on back order, so I temporarily had another entire 18 assembly installed!

Is there a difference in pumps and is KTM covering it?

I am not sure if there is a difference. Rumor is KTM is/was looking a new manufacture for the pumps. I have no idea if that is true...

I left my original complete assembly with the dealer and they are working with KTM to replace it when the 19 is available. I am sure hoping they cover it under warranty. I couldn't be happier with Brewers for getting us going asap!!!
