Btw! What area are you in? I saw your prior post, I'm in Tokyo until Sunday night. I love wandering around here endlessly ha!
Well, damn. When I didn't hear back from you in the other thread, I made a date with the girl I'm seeing. Let me (and McLellan) know next time you're here, and we'll plan something ahead of time.

They've had MXGP's in Japan in the past. Here's some pics I took at the 2005 GP at Sugo.

Townley was on it that day and appeared to have Everts covered handily until his bike died close to the end of moto-2

While you're there...see if this race is still on. I'm hearing rumors that aren't good.

Sully and McLellan.....thanks for the replies. I've always wondered what it was like living there. I'd really like to take like a 2 week trip there. Never looked into what that would cost , but it is at the top of the list of places I want to go.

Haha... Don't get me wrong. Even after many years in Japan I still loves me some CoCo's Katsu curry as well. Just funny how that's the go-to for most Americans.

Ate normal dishes like that on the spicy side? Like hot Mexican food or like yellow Chinese mustard? Just wondering if most foods are the on the spicy side?

Not sure I’ll be there... by the time I fly out from Kyushu into the big smoke, and the prices I’m hearing are putting me off a bit to be honest.

CoCo Ichibanya (where Michael ate) has different spice levels you can choose: 1 is basically what you’d feed your kids, and 10 is what you feed the dude who fucked your wife.
But that’s more the exception. Most Japanese spice is either not very spicy at all, or it’s the wasabi-style that clears your sinuses and then goes away inside of 15 seconds.

Tempura, those ticket prices are scaring me too. I don’t know about you, but I’m not hearing a damn thing about it up here, so I’m kind of thinking Manny’s right and it ain’t going to happen.

I posted a video on the first page of Mookie where he said he was going to be there. That was before they nuked their Youtube page.

I'm out unless ticket prices come down. I was looking at their website last weekend, and adult tickets start at ¥8,000 / ~$80.
