Looks like they chopped up a 1993 rm 250 shroud and bolted it on crooked.

Nice scoop Mav.

There will be a lot of white powder coating going on too. I hate to focus on looks alone, so I'll also add that the suspension is a letdown. This is without a doubt the leading edge in development, and maybe they didn't think they could sell 400 of these at a higher price point with cone valves and trax. They are probably right with 400 more KTM's to sell, at least they have the desired painted frames.

Beta lowered their cylinders in '15, so that is not some new invention, although straightening up the intake and exhaust tracts is a big plus for power. Beta also did the chopped up side panels that no one liked for '18.

When all is said and done, the slim shrouds and ergonomics may make the biggest difference to the old bikes.

Dean's bike I just posted up top looks good. Don't think the side plates are that bad.

Agreed. I like that more.

Whats the story on this? When was this info released? Seems more hush hush than the KTM FE release.

Maybe there is a functionality component to the rear plate being separated? Seat and rear fender come off together for airbox, shock, maintenance access?

Come to think of it maybe to access the shock. Take a look at Dean's bike and zoom in on that.

I'm just happy to see the return of the gunsight to the Husqvarna logo. Removing it last year was a kick in the balls to the brand's heritage.
