The first round of the Australian SX championship is this weekend. Who are you picking to win? Does Justin Brayton go back to back? Will Dean Ferris rival him for wins? How does Bradley Taft do?

Brayton will likely be the class of the field in SX1, and I'd put money on Hayes in SX2. Osby and Alix will be good too. Will be interesting to see how Richardson goes, he's been out hurt and just started riding from what I understand.

Brayton is great in Australia. But I'm also looking forward to the AMA Arenacross champ Jacob Hayes. Isn't he riding for Yamaha? And also Jace Owen will be lining up. So the competition will be bigger then last years I think. But someone who can win Daytona, will be the favorite in every round, so Justin Brayton is the man to beat.

EDIT: Just saw Kevin204 his post that Hayes is on a 250. That is such a bummer, but understandable, he raced 250's all the time in AX. But he wasn't bad on that 450 outdoors.

Mellross on the new Husky 250 aswell. Pretty stacked Lites class, should be interesting.

I cant see anybody getting near Brayton though. Ferris and Reardon on the podium is my guess.

I really hope Ferris pushes for some wins, he’d have more of a shot at a contract in America if he were racing SX as well

He's on CDR Yamaha and that's 450 only so he will be in mx1.

It'll be interesting to see how Ferris does this year with a sole focus on SX leading in. I believe he has the ability to be very good at SX.

I think Ferris will do much better this year.. Dylan Long may surprise as well..those two guys are on the best equipped team..

It looks as though Crawford will race the final round at Aus-X

As for live stream, nothing that I know of so far, there is meant to be a replay on Youtube of round one uploaded as soon as racing has finished tomorrow, will post a link as soon as I see it!

I can't make the first two rounds, first time I have not been to the opening round of the various Aus SX championships for years.

Went down real hard 2nd lap of the first heat got knocked out among a few other things! Was a bit scary for a while
But reports are he's out of Intensive care and into a ward and the head knock is clearing and he will fully recover..

He wasn't going to the MXDN - he was fully committed to OZ SX / Deathcross (c/r Philthy Phil) .

** This was in response to a bloke who questioned if now Reed would race the MXDN - he thinking Ferris was riding it. He obviously just deleted his post.

So the “unbeatable guy” crashed out in round 1?
Don’t get me wrong I’m not being insensitive, he has no serious injuries and expected to return soon according to Instagram.
