I decided to do a couple things. Looking for feed back. I think the motor is ok but a little to mellow. I decided to put a 50T rear and fmf full titanium exhaust with switch to T4 race fuel. I’m a decent A level rider, I can go fast when I want to lol. You think this will give decent low end to mid gain? Or should I send the ecu to twisted development as well?

Id say the ecu will be a better change than the others combined.

Id do ECU remap from Twisted for sure, with T4 and 2 stroke air filter cage.

Cut that lip off on the inside of the airbox cover too. Yes the stock mapping needs addressed. I'm running a 50T too and love that but sometimes I think a 49T might be better for some tracks? All I know first gear was too tall! I trail ride my 450 fe too.

Okay I’m going to send it out. I just know the bikes are pretty good stock and did t want to get crazy. I def feel some area for improvement though. Seems like it’s a little flat down low. I’m thinking between the sprocket, race has, full fmf system and the twisted development remap it will come on pretty hard. I’m a heavy rider so I want that power there.

ECU like everyone has said. Made a massive difference on my bike.

I did a pro circuit system, t4 and 2 stroke cage definitely hits harder on the low end. Just got my ecu back should be the cherry on top.

What cage exactly are you guys using?

Any 2016-2019 KTM/Husky 125/150 or 2017-2019 KTM/Husky 250/30 filter cages. They just have no screen on them.

Do you run special fire proof filters with these cages or would just the standard twin air one be okay?

I run standard filters. Been doing this on Ktm’s since 2012 and no problem.

On all the KTM cages, watch for a burr at the top of the post. It is because of the molding process and it can be sharp enough to cut the filter. I sand all of mine smooth to be safe.

Take it to the limit, one more time!

ECU is a big help and you can also add a bit more air flow with some airbox lid/sideplate modifications. I'd call Twisted Development or XPR (MotoConcepts/Brayton engine builder) to chat with them about the mapping options as to what fuel and how much additional air flow they recommend for what you're looking for.

Thank you for the help! I called twisted they gave me a lot of info and basically said to do everything you guys mentioned. They also said they like the fmf best so I’m glad I purchased the right exhaust. So with my weight they said 50t rear, fmf full exhaust, ecu, air box mod, 4t, two stroke filter cage.

This is good info! Thank you. Soon as the weather breaks in New Jersey I will see how the new additions have helped.

Does this actually make a difference? Thanks

Everything combined does help in my opinion.
