What has been yalls favorite mods, bling, suspension set up?
I'm beyond excited to make this thing my own. It's going to be difficult to not replace stuff that's already on the bike right away.

Congrats on the new bike! One of the first mods I would do is the Cycra plastics to get the bike narrower. Just doing that and getting the suspension dialed in would make for an excellent bike IMO.

Cant remember off hand who makes the rear link, get it. Settles the rear end and balancs the bike out perfectly. Rails turns and stays stable and planted. Its the one must have for that bike

As said, the Cycra kit and a GYTR tuner...

Lot s of support for the tuner and power flow plastics. I'm 6'2" so I need to keep the legs high and tight in even moderately deep ruts so narrow is good.

Get yourself a set of Renthal or Mika Metals 918 Bend and put your bar clamps in the 3rd position. Front hole-reversed. That opens things up quite a bit of the 14-17 Yz's. If you get your suspension done, send it to Enzo

Now the hard part begins... try not to drink too many beers and start ordering parts before I can even ride it.

Excuse the dirty bike in the background. She swapped me off her pretty good on Sunday because she knew she was being replaced. To retaliate I didn't wash her right away. Let her feel like a used up a little

Im your same height. Stock plastics are not an issue. It isnt a wide bike if you are over 5'8". It feels perfect. But the rear link is magic on it.

Cycra shrouds, Motoseat, Acerbis frame guards, Works Connection radiator guards and Solid Solutions for bling on ebay, their quality is great, price is good and made in the USA.

Enzo, don't buy a linkage. Just get the shock shortening from Enzo for $40. Amazing bike.

I've got a 270cc kit along with mapping and a full FMF exhaust on my '17. Great combo if legal in your class.

Don't think that is a must have. Ride the thing and enjoy. Yamaha has lots of hours testing to make that bike good. Ride it and Taylor it to YOUR needs

Im sure the cycra kit is awsome but that price tag is way to much for me to justify. I'd much rather buy more tyres , bars , clutch perch and some unbreakable leavers .

i say just ride it and get a feel for what you want in your suspension then revalve to suit.

Arc levers are what my friends get right away. I'll get a set some day.

I shouldn't of looked inside this thread. Makes me want one sooo bad. My buddy has a 15 yz250f that I've rode a few times and fell in love with. Maybe next year I'll be able to snag a left over 17 cheap if the 2018 model is new

I was a die hard Works Connection fan until i tried the ARC clutch perch assembly and the front brake lever. Wont ever go back. The clutch pull is so damn good on the ARC perch.

Spend the money now and get them, you won't be disappointed.
