Heard rumors from some industry people so I googled 2017 KX 125 and saw this pic. Apparently they are testing the bike in CA and it will be released in July/August or just in time for display at Loretta's. It would only make sense with their being such a big gap between the supermini and the 250F forcing most riders to go with a KTM or Yamaha.Photo

Ummm.. That bike was hand built by a Vital member, he has a build thread about it.

Edit: My bad, I just looked it up for you and it's not the same bike.

Looks like one of their toy models.

Look at the exhaust/silencer.

It's not off anything currently built...

People said the same about the new kx 85 and the KTM 85 a few years back. I think it's legit.

Why would a next gen release have last years bodywork? I wish it were true, but I doubt it.

It's a build and not the real thing.

The bike in that picture is a 150 build. If it's true about a new KX, it's not this bike.
I havent heard a thing about a new kx125, it's very very unlikely, unfortunately.

I've been told about the possibility of a new KX two stroke (in the past year) from a Kawasaki employee. When asked if there was a possibility of a two stroke he mentioned along the lines that 'the guys in California are pretty excited about something'
ML512 care to weigh in on this? Wink one time if the rumour is true haha

Maybe when the next recession hits and no one buys 4 strokes anymore.

Whats funny is this and quads is the only consumer based motorsport where 4 strokes are relevant.

This EXACT rumor surfaced in 2012, with a Suzuki RM125, and the "Suzuki test mule" had white plastics. aaaaaaand nothing ever happened.
