Looks pretty snazzy! Going to be some lucky groms out there getting to rip these little bikes.

Highlights:

New WP AER 35 air-sprung fork is easily adjustable for different rider sizes as well as track conditions.

New fully adjustable rear suspension to match the performance of the WP AER 35 fork.

Newly developed exhaust pipe provides better power delivery and more peak power over the entire rev range.
A 3-shaft engine design keeps the crankshaft close to the bike’s center of gravity for quick handling along with room for an optimized reed valve angle for maximum performance.

Bodywork that mimics the full-size 2017 SX-F line that gives the 50 SX a slim profile for excellent ergonomics and handling.
Front and rear hydraulic brakes by Formula combined with lightweight WAVE discs are powerful with feedback that gives control for any skill level.
A centrifugal multi-disc automatic clutch provides manageable acceleration and can be adjusted to the track conditions in minutes without tools.
Super lightweight, black anodized aluminum rims are matched to MAXXIS tires for maximum grip.

Smart on KTM, get them on orange young and you have a loyal customer all the way through big bikes. Good to see a company investing in the sport as much as KTM/Husky is.

Agree on all brands, KTM is terrible though, went to look at a 350 EXC-F the other day, $10999 and dealers dont budge. When I had my 2016 SX150 I paid $7k otd for a small bore smoker, more expensive than even my 16 yz250f was OTD by $1k.

Not a big fan of the '17 look, though it's a mild improvement over '16. '

Air forks on a 50 and 65 is interesting. I wonder how many mini dads that don't have a clue will either run them almost flat or put a ton of air in them for the big jumps.....

I may have missed it on there but I'm assuming this little thing is probably pushing the $6k mark?

That's what I paid OTD for a ktm 525 sx in 2006.
A lot has changed in 10 years.

That has been the case for 15 years in Europe. I remember when i was 9 years old and got my brand new 2004 SX 65 and i was in love with KTM. Just look through the powerwear catalogue, they have EVERYTHING in orange and KTM branding. From babies clothes to adult clothes, from babies bikes to adult mountainbikes.

KTM is Killing it when it comes to marketing and branding.

LOL the bleeding NEVER stops my friend! Never has and never will as long as inflation exists and technological improvements are to be had. I just turned 50 this year so I'm really trying to avoid conversations that start with, "I remember when a new bike was only....." cause it just makes me sound old.

Enjoy and revel in the 9K dirtbike today my friend because before you know it in the not too distant future they will be 15K ... I guarantee it.

The SXS might be up in that range but I paid $3500 OTD for my grandson's 2015. Air Forks on a 50? Hell they only weigh like 85lbs wet now so I don't really see the need as far as weight goes so why add the headache? Sure it might be of some use to the Bakersfield boys or Deegan type kids but I ain't got the time for that learning curve. Oh well, hopefully this will be our last season on a 50 anyway. I'm already looking to purchase a used 65 for him.

I think it's a cool concept. The only problem is there is so much that already goes into keeping these little bikes and the little guys going. I see it as another hurdle to tackle. I'm betting ktm 50 spring forks will be going for a premium. 50 racing is a chore it's hard work.

It looks amazing.

Air forks on a 50 seems like a complete waste of money and I'd even say stupid. Pros can't even make air forks ride well and are going faster and feeling the most comfortable on a traditional spring fork. Setting the kid up for failure!

Okay maybe I'm being a bit dramatic but come on. Air forks on a 50?!

I know the 65s are around 4800 and the 85s 6100. I see a lot of 2015 50 sxs for 5199 on cycle trader. that's nuts $5200 for a 50
