Can't figure how to get a picture up. The Factory team got their practice bikes this week and one of the rider's, Ty Cullins father put a post on Thumpertalk.

Extremely trick bikes built up by Beta's Distributor with a 2 SPEED TRANSMISSION.

Beta has something new being released at EICMA and I suspect it will be a XC race model..

That is a trick bike! I need some education on the 2 speed transmission though!

Can't wait for the season to start! The factory Betas are so cool, just great looking bikes and it's always cool to see something out of the ordinary out on the track. I really wanted to make a road trip and race the Souix Falls round since my cousin is going to school there starting this year, but it was going to cost me over $1000 just in rental fees to get a van to go there!Sad I'm super bummed that we don't have a race is Sacramento this year, especially since they're going to be done with the new stadium soon, I was looking forward to giving that one a go. I guess I'll just make the treck down to Ontario since that's the closest race to me, I love doing the amateur class and I don't want to give up on doing one of them this year.

Endurocross. Super slow, gnarly & technical the whole race.

Makes sense, I guess I missed that part. So for dumb question #2. They arent selling a "Endurocross" version to the public, right?

With BYOB (build your own bike) you could have pretty much everything you see, although not sure about the 2 speed.
I suspect they just remove existing parts. The Race Team bikes are built side by side with consumer custom builds.

Paying for it is the only problem if you want one.

I forgot about that with the Betas. Sure look like cool bikes to me! I even liked the way those twin cylinder Aprilla's looked, not sure about their performance though. However, I imagine the Beta's perform well too.

I'd really like to see Beta develop a dedicated MX bike.. I think they could really break into that "top 6" of KTM, Husky, Yamaha, etc.

I'm with you on that. I picked mine to do MX as a Vet, although I usually take off the rear blinkers and plate at least.

Super stable and nimble chassis, unmatched torque (480) and a 6 speed for versatility. Easy to ride fast for a long time for out of shape old guys.

I have been a loud advocate for a model like that since the race team runs them anyway. Beta has something up their sleeve for the new bike shows. They've already announced they are developing 125 and 200 2 strokes and a new 250 and 350 4 stroke are in the pipeline too. There is something else coming, but it's a secret for now.

Here's Nick Burson who rides for Purvine's Racing in the National Hare and Hounds.

All it takes is money. A whole shit-ton of it for a long time...

Hell, everybody should do it!

Gary Jones and Ty Cullins have had class wins at REM on Beta's. They are not far off the mark right now. Now it may be a different story if you are talking the highest level, maybe not. Beta is competing very well with the newest Austrian bikes in EnduroGP which are only a few steps away from the MX models.
