Okay so 2 months ago I bought a used 2016 450sxf from my local ktm dealer. So far I am absolutely in love with the bike but I am concerned about my forks. It seems they are what I think over extending. When on a stand the fork seal area of the fork is above the fork gaurds and when I am riding I notice that they seem to “slam” back when the front wheel comes off the ground. I’m just looking for some opinions on what is happening. Clickers are set from zero.

Do not ride that bike until you get those fixed. Likely somebody changed fork seals and did not fully tighten the cartridge rods to the upper caps.

STAY OFF and send them to someone who knows what they are doing. Your life is more important than anything else. Send them to a reputable suspension tuner asap.

Thanks guys. I am going to give the dealer a call in the morning and more than likely take it over there tomorrow evening.

You’re better off throwing those forks in the garbage.
