Now that we have 450's do we really need a an open class in the MXON's . Like is RV or Dungey going to say yep give me a 500 because i need more power . I think they need to look at this and come up with another class or idea for the 3rd class

A two stroke class would make things (more) interesting....

I might get flamed but Osborne is still on my radar. If he can get back on form and not be sick/hurt while doing it and maybe get an overall by years end it would be a hard decision for me. He's already raced there this year and nearly won not 100%. He's used to FIM sound regs and bike power. You people probably know the arguments already.

Wilson raced for Canada in 2009, and for UK in 2010. It`s not like Osbourne needs to change a passport or something....

I agree, right now it would be between Zach and Blake Baggett for me.

125 without a doubt!!! So much more interesting, and it would influence the manufacturers markets as well as aftermarket companies...

Quit worrying/speculating about the 2011 US team!............................

It's 2012 in Lommel you should be worried about! Them Euro sand specialists are gonna be hard to beat in their own practice/backyard!
Check out some youtube clips of the way Cairoli, herlings, Roczen, DeRuever & co ride around Lommel, Valkenswarrd & Lierop!

Yea but those guys you just mentioned Rob are from different countries... I still think US have a chance in Lommel three strong riders.. if they all get top three in their class they could still win. Dungey and Stewart/RV aren't going to be far away even in Lommel imo.

Whether they can beat Cairoli or Herlings if they don't crash, I'm not sure, but they don't need to, to win the team trophy.

Team USA can`t be beat with RV, RD and BB. It`s that simple. No other country has a line up that can match the two fastest 450 guys in the nats, and the currently fastest rider in the 250 nats.

Doesn`t matter really. Except for De Reuver (who is not much of a contender anymore, unfortunately) and Herlings, neither of the guys you mentioned ride for the same country. Basically USA could coast behind these guys and still take it.

It`s a very good line up for Holland, but I think we can agree that USA has the upper hand Smile

Team Holland
mx3 Marc de reuver 450f
mx1 Jeffrey Herlings 350f
mx2 Glenn Coldenhoff 250f

the weakest link for Team USA in Lommel will be 250F rider

And one can hardly call Bagget a weak link under any circumstance

I don`t buy the excuse of Lommel eating America. The track is rough for everyone, and these guys have been on a bike since age 3-4. I doubt the track will affect them too much, regardless if it is the roughest track in the world

Yeah, but even back then the good ole USA had to rely on a Chinaman, an Irishman, a Frenchman and even a Belgian team manager!WinkLaughing
