I had one and it was a very good bike. Turned very well, a bit twitchy on the high speed stuff but that's all Suzukis. The only negative was that it's a bit heavy but all of the bikes in that era were around the same weight anyway.
They are a good solid bike. Just look for the usual......dents on the bottom of the frame, sticky rear linkage, loose wheel bearings, dirty air filter etc. If it has had regular oil changes and air filter service it will be fine.
Had my '11 for four years, I knew the guy that bought it new, I'm second owner. It has never let me down, still has heaps of compression, I just checked the shims; all perfect. Bike has done about 120 hours; I'm a medium/fast vet.
My mods:
Kouba lowering link.
1.6 kg rad cap.
Barnett clutch springs
KYB piston head in stock rear shock.
51 t rear sprocket.
Ripped out both restrictors from stock muffler, not louder, more top-end.
Vented engine breather into airbox.
I run 15w50 semi-synthetic engine oil, it don't get real cold here in Australia; 10w40 not needed.
