No problem Devin, I am curious to see what you came up with also.
Just to see if I made any mistakes.

Its a shame that 250SX points do not count.

I wish riders would keep there numbers by there points.
Except I'd have two separte systems for the 450 and 250.
Like RV and Wilson would both be number one and than count it down after that.

There needs to be a number system. Itd be sick.

I didn't even bother trying to do points for every rider so thanks I wanted a full list of points.

Thanks for putting this together MXerDW.

Under the old points system, it sure would be weird to see Stewart wearing #19 next year and Tedesco #34.

On the other hand, I bet Rattray would have an easier time finding the 250SX/450MX ride he reportedly wants, if he could offer a #7 plate to potential sponsors.

Also, how do you think it would affect the confidence and swagger of a rider like Metcalfe, if he swung a leg over a big #6 all season long next year?

Damn it!! Sorry guys.

First off all, I'm so tired from a looooong weekend and my brain isn't functioning properly lol I didn't see Dwayne's list of projected #'s below his points list. Then to make matters worse, I typed a little arrow/bracket combo pointing to Alex Martin (saying how awesome it was that he earned #25 and what a great season he had) and I forgot that is some sort of command key on here that basically eats half of my post LOL :-/

So the bottom half of my list is gone, but as usual I'm sure Dwayne's is pretty accurate (thanks as always Dwayne! I was too lazy to do one this year). But the only other thing I added which actually DOES change Dwayne's list by one number (up) is the #13. It's not Voss' anymore and it should be Tomac, UNLESS he lobbies the AMA to not make him take it (some guys are obviously superstitious about that # - for the record I didn't ask Eli so I have no idea if that is the case with him - I know Baggett would have loved to run it, but didn't want someone to jump ahead of him to 12 ). This situation hasn't come up in quite some time so it will be interesting to see how it plays out, and could move everyone up or down by one #.

Bogle #48 now, as I forgot about Voss not racing this year. So everyone moved up a #.

I'm fairly certain that he will, yes. He did the whole SX season basically, and they haven't been pulling out as many FIM guys as they used to anyhow. So I'd say you've got it right by counting him.

BTW Did you do tie breakers at the bottom of the the list with all those guys with 5 points? It's a cluster to do it and I'm way too tired to tackle it, just don't want to get anyone excited about possibly getting a number, and then not getting it. Hell, you and I both know that no matter how hard we try to dial this list in, they will likely blind side us with something that changes it when they calculate their official list. There are a lot of judgement calls that only they can make because of a few grey areas that always need addressing.

Les Smith had a busy year.....

250 East SX 13th on a Jimmy Weinert Racing Honda and missed 3 of 8 main events?
250 outdoors 30th OA with team Suzuki by racing 3 of the 12 races.
450 outdoors 19th OA with Joe Gibbs Racing Yamaha by racing 7 of the 12 races.

Looks like all that earned hem #44 or 45 for 2012

Wilson should pick #4. It's about time that one was freed up! He'd do it proud.

Josh Hill will lose 75 I believe, also Pourcel Didn't earn 25 points so he will lose 377 and become number 72. He only got 24 Points.

I believe they will let Hill retain the #75 because of his injury. But I totally spaced the 25 point rule on Pourcel, so I believe you are correct saying Pourcel will now get a regular double digit #.
