spun a few laps on a '10 450 and it was pretty cool. It just sounds so much different than anything else i have ridden. you can hear the air box sucking in air since it is right there. with the sucking sound - it sounds sorta like an import car with an intake system (if that makes sense). it turns amazingly well and the low end power and throttle response was awesome. wish i could get one Sad

For sure... strangest looking damn bike, but this kid was flyin' on it! He claimed it was like riding a 125 with 450 power... very well balanced.

I think most of you guys think SX is boring because you cannot relate to it since you've never ridden an SX track. It's easy to relate to James riding mach 15 around a MX track b/c you've all been on an MX track and know what it's like.

Watching those guys ride SX like they do is anything but boring...
Ya that must be it...

SX is about as exciting as watching snowboarders compete in a half pipe versus watching them race boardercross or watching freestyle skiers instead of downhill racers. Sorry but the SX tracks of today are contrived and boring just like freestyle. Seriously how many backflips, Gnar whips, and 75' triples do you really want to see "bro"? SX tracks are built to the same specs and it just gets old. The only thing interesting last year was when they had "guest" designers and the throwback track and if I remember correctly the riders bitched about them too because they didn't flow... Since, as you accurately pointed out, the motorcycle buying public isn't ever going to ride a SX track and really can't relate to SX why the hell do the manufacturers even care? IMO, just like they don't support FMX they shouldn't bother with SX in its current format. I'd much rather see the money spent outdoors.

Yeah, he looks fast in that video... but you can't really tell until he's on the track with real competition... I still think he belongs on...

I still think he belongs on a KX...

A green bike wins A-1, seriously.

Temecula Motosports got 2 already and Malcolm I think got 2 in Southern Cali.

Usually when a Japanes bike is as slow as this one is in getting into the dealers, it's because the bike has a major problems.

Does anyone know what the problem is with this one? Could it be the shock absorber over heating perhaps?

Saw one at Piru 11/7 not a mag bike either, would've had a chance to talk and find out where he got it but my buddy got hurt as soon as we got there due to some guy that comitted to a small jump and stabbed the brakes at the last minute.....sucked for both of us he ended up with a broken elbow as a result. Was an awesome day and he was on it at least it wasn't worse.

Looks to me like James was just play riding in that video. He looked so smooth he must have been just playing. We've all seen James actually trying to go fast and put in the lap times and that wasn't it.

The bikes are being held back from us regular Joe's in hopes that people will buy up the 07,08,09 bikes from what I hear.

I am twice as smooth as James.............

while sitting on the couch.

That vid is pure art.
The way this guy rides makes it look effortless.
But its not that easy.
I wish I could ride like that, perfection.

I'm just not interested anymore, I'd rather watch the Canadian Outdoor Nationals.

Maybe because exhaust make less noise? I remember when I put on CRF250X exhaust (89 db) on my CRF250R it suddenly sounded like a mouth breather. I could also hear the mechanics more clear from the engine which made me a aware about the four stroke complexity, and therefore a bit anxious... Is that sound normal etc…

If you can hear your mechanic over the sound of the engine, you have one loud-mouthed mechanic.
