In 1987, the Suzuki RM-250 with cartridge forks and rear disc brake seemed worth waiting for.

By late March, I gave up and bought a 1987 Kawasaki KX-250.

After a few years apart, I now own that exact same KX.

My buddy's brother rode one for a cycle world test and said it had the fastest motor of the bunch even over the Kawi. He said the winner was a tossup between the kawi and the zook.

Actually, i remember when i was about 4 years old, i begged and begged and begged untill i got a honda Z50 at the age of 6, 19 years later, still one of the best days of my life, so for me yes a bike has been later than that before! haha, just wait guys i'm sure it will be worth it.

we have had the 2010 RMZ250's on the floor since october, it is a wicked bike, a huge step forward from the 09, i would not say the motor is as strong midrange as the 2010 KX250F but really halls on top, awesome bike all the same

I was talking to a rider on the rockstar amateur Suzuki team and he said he was getting his 2010 250s and 450s from Suzuki on February 16th. So I'd imagine it will be right around that time...

I don't know what faster motor means, but according to many test, including MXA the KTM has the most ponies and its the most silent one as well. Can't be much better than that?

actually, the KTM makes the most power by like .5hp, but only makes power in the 10-13K RPM range, and it is actually the least powerful below that.
The KX makes the most power across the widest RPM range.
I am curious to see how the Suzuki stacks up, when they release them around here.

There is a good buildup of a 09 RMZ250 with a RM250 in it on TT, I'll try to find the thread.
