What rider(s) do your think will surprise us the most in 2009. Of course we are talking about improvement of results. I'm thinking Izzi and hoping Josh Grant.

grant and izzi would be nice, but i'd definitely like to see josh hill be top three in points this year

i know he won but he has struggled with being consistent so it would be nice to see him do good or even top 5.

but i think biggest suprise will be izzi, i think he is going to come out swinging this year.

as far as grant he was fast two years ago and then this year seem to fall off the pace, maybe last year was a rebuilding season for him and now this year he will come out firing.

Pourcel, Stroupe, Barcia(if he does outdoors), and Josh Grant would be my picks.... We know they are all fast though so it wont be too much of a suprise. I think Stroupe will win a lot of races regardless of what coast he rides and who else is in the race.

I wouldn't say "suprise," but if townley can stay healthy for the nationals he will be a force.
Him & RV in 07 were great in the nattys.

I hope it is Lawrence keeps his nose clean and lives up to his potential. Also Stroupe getting even faster. Oh and can we call it the 250 class now.

Thats a huge call, or a nice cast, i am undecided haha I will be surprised if Ivan is closer than 30 seconds or even on the same lap to Reed at the end of a race.

Tedesco better do something this yr. The kid has stolen alot of Factory money up to this point of his career so it is do or die for him. I personally think it is die. He is just not as good as people want to think he is. Beating Reed is a pipe dream at best.

Tedesco is better than people give him credit for. He's been busted up ever since James landed on him in Canada in '06, and, as you said, he's very motivated. Reed, on the other hand, has never been the best guy even when he won championships. And Reed won't hang it out when he's got a cushy contract, which he has now. Reed might beat IT on consistency but I think IT has something for him. But of course they'll both be half a lap behind James.

he had his shit together under the PC tent, but has been waaay over rated as a rider since. ever year he talks about being up front and looking for a win. its not impossible, but every year he is a 5th-10th place guy. Id love to see everyone step it up (except james) so we could see some good racing. reed\stewart are above everyone else, and i believe james always has something extra in the tank, no matter how fast reed goes, BUT thats when he beats himself. as for the others, i want there to be 8 different guys that can podium on any given race day. who wants to see a run away race? thats not a race. thats boring.

I think Reed is going to be the surprise. Everyone believe JS is going to run away with things in SX but reed will be right with him till the end of the season and we are going to have another 2005/2006 season on our hands this year.
