What are the opinions on the 06 RMZ compared to the other 450s. Also how do you think it'd be vs say an 09 Honda. I found a way to get one for a good trade but wondering what people think of them. (I'm a novice dirtbiker, no pro or anything so I'd probably keep it mostly stock, except for the basics) And I'd be riding desert tracks with whoops and jumps as well as mx tracks and maybe some offroad and racing.

Pretty solid bike, my buddy had a 07 rmz(RC REPLICA) and had like 70hrs on it no problems, but he rode my 09 rmz and said it was away better bike. The older bikes IMO are a little bit wider and seem heavier. but all in all its a good bike. that 06 will seem way heavy and wide compared to the 09 honda. The efi is nice too!

I guess it was an old guys and he had some valve problems and the owner after got it all redbuilt put new tires on, rode it, tipped it over and said screw dirtbikes and been sitting in his garage since so it should be solid motorwise. My bro is likin his 09 Honda but we are quad racer guys who ride dirtbikes for fun and practice so he doesn't really know any better I guess lol Also we are both pretty big Im like 6'2 210 and he's same height but like 250.

I had an 06 RMZ 450- It was a fantastic turning bike, had great power (very easy to handle) but I had major issues with the bike always breaking down. I'm actually a pretty good guy as far as maintence on the bike, so it wasn't bike negligence.. But it did seem like I was always running into issues with it. IMO, if I were to get another RMZ it'd be 08 or newer.
As for the 09 I havent ridden one yet, so I dont have anything solid for you on that-
I do however still have an 06 Crf 450 that is amazing!

I have an '06 also. I put a piston and rings in it last season and has been running great. No issues as of yet with the bike.

Dont got any pics and haven't seen it but it'd be a straight up trade from my 06 LTR450 suzuki quad that we hammered lol so I think it's a pretty decent deal, I am gonna check it out before buyin just wonderin how the 06 RMZs were workin and I am a dirtbike noob so I probably couldn't tell if a bike handled bad, although I have ridden an 09 yzf450 and it fel fast and the suspension was good but it felt like crap like squirlley and not nice to ride, I liked my friend's 05 crf 450 also and my bro's 09 crf felt nice too.
