Okay, dumb question time....which year model cylinders are compatable with my '03 250sx? I have a leak in the base gasket and have to remove the cylinder to replace. Going to do a "top end" while I have it apart. Can I do a larger displacement cylinder? Any suggestions for more low end "grunt"? I'm lost here.... Thanks guys!! BTW thanks for suggesting to send my tech 10s back to alpinestars for a resole. 70 bucks and they look and feel new again!

In 2003 they changed the stroke by 5mm, thus making those and later years compatible with 300 cylinders.

Not for nothing, but I'm pretty sure they changed the rod length not the stroke in '03.

I had a 2004 250SX, bad ass motor. The 03 had even more.

I am not sure on the 03 but I think you have the lighter sx crank. Put a 300 kit on it and you will have a monster. Power everywhere.
