In a thread the other day O/C Scottie said he lived for GoPro footage, so I wanted to take him for a little ride at E-Street Mx In Northern California.

This week I was going to be building Ridge's Extremity Games racebike, so I took it out for a shakedown to get a baseline in stock form (he raced it last year and King of the Motos bone stock).

This was my first time using a GoPro and I'm not real good with them, so any tips from guys with experience using them would be helpful. I noticed you can't really hear the Braaaap of Ridge's CR250R very well ( GoPro settings, wrong case???), My buddy at the begining set it up for me and I was using the water proof case.

I hope you guys enjoy the first 4min 55sec because I did, but I'm not " super pumped" with what happens at the 5min mark (I'm too old for that kind of shit!)

Wow. You ok?
Stuck throttle, unintentional downshift? You can hear the engine surge just before the fly off.

Damn, nice get off... so what caused it? At first i thought neutral because of the sound but anytime I've done that I've gotten a closer look at the front fender than I'd like not flown off the back.

New avatar for you.

That last bit when he brought the camera back to you summed it up pretty well.

Damn dude hope you're OK, bike parts are much cheaper than the ones for human.

It's kind of sad that so many riders kept going by and didn't stop to see if you were okay. Hope you're okay and thanks for having the balls to post your mishap for all to see.

It downshifted right before the face of that levee double, then upshifted back on the face while wide open and instantly looped out on take off. In hindsight(sp) it misshifted 1-2 other times but I thought nothing of it untill the moment I was in the air without the bike. I haven't looped a bike out since 1985, lol!

I'm going in to see the Dr. this morning as my left foot is pretty jacked. I can't tell if it's broken or just really angry because like Ridgway I broke both my heels in a similar get off in a Supercross race in 1998.

You're getting too old for this kind of stuff? Dude, you were riding like you're 17! Hopefully you're just a bit bruised up.

Oh yea, the bike ended up landing on it's wheels rolled all the way to the next corned and gently laid itself over on the berm with just a dirt scuff on the front fender and grip.

Absolutely! You must of been laying there for a little while. What wrong with some of these people. It wasn't a race for christ's sake! Hope the foot's o.k.

There was several that came to me right away. Track workers, friends and even a rival suspension tuner. I hit my head a bit and felt like just laying there to gather myself, then I realized I was on the backside of a blind double and drug myself off the track just as several people turned around to help me.

Thank you guys for the well wishes! I was pretty sure I was going to be hauled out in the ambulance. I guess the 2-stroke gods were watching yesterday.

Just so you know that wasn't me laying on the track, the GoPro snapped off my helmet and was on the downside of the jump. thats why it looks like people were just riding past me. I ended up another 40-50 yards down the track.

How old are you? Damn man you were stroking it! I for one am glad I will never line up against you, I would get my ass handed to me. I was wondering why people weren't stopping to see if you were ok, it was just a practice session, not like it was a race.

--- Awww E-St, I have a love-hate for that place.

Great track, prep, dirt-sand..... but it bites and spits you out.
broken femur last April, cracked my wrist on 7/07 also

Here's a vid of another Nor-cal track (Oatfield ---- Sierra OTHG National)

Not mine but from the 45+ exp moto, but I did race my RMZ 450 and RM 250

First, you were flying, that was some awesome riding, but friends do not let friends ride 2 strokes. I have had discussion with friends and we have come to the conclusion that two strokes are easy to flip and 4 strokes don't flip out like that as often. I believe that this would not have happened on 4 stroke but I am sure the 2 stroke worshipers will disagree.
