So round 2 allowed Eli to get right back into the mix. If my calculations are correct, he is only sitting 4 points off the lead of Roczen. Absolute best case scenario after his round 1 performance. Having 3 completely different guys on the podium has kept the top guys right in the mix.

Barcia 40
Ferrandis 39
Musquin 38
Brayton 38
Roczen 37
Tomac 36
Stewart 34
Webb 33
AC 30
Osborne 26

I expect to see the top 7 or 8 guys all with a solid chance at the title moving forward.

There will be 2 maybe 3 guys with a shot at the title by rd 9. There will be 4 maybe 5 race winners.

We will see who gets penalized from the jumping on the Red Cross flag.

Yeah, meant to say this is points pending any penalties. But if anything, it may help bring the group even tighter.

Yea this year feels crazy. Ricky said it was like musical chairs at one point and it really is. The top almost 15 are so stacked that it’s a wild guess what’s going to happen.

Updated standings after Roczen and Anderson lost points because of jumping the double whilst the red cross flag was in use.

Its early but the only rider ive seen in both rounds be super solid is kenny. Everyone else is making weird mistakes or falling in corners. Eli showed elite status last night for sure. Every top rider fell in the sand and eli hit it like it was nothing. Short outlook says eli and kenny battle it out

I'd put Ferrandis in there. And Cooper was Cooper again by the end of the main. And Marv's not too shabby.

Cream always rises to the top, it’ll be whittled down to 3 maybe 4 consistent podium riders soon

Understanding Barcia's shifter issue, I'd throw him in as well.
