I switch to the 4 stroke back in '01, thought it was the greatest thing.

Then in '06 rode a RM250 2 stroke, realized how much funner riding was on the 2 stroke and switched back.
Bought another '08 RM250, gonna be bummed if I have to buy a 4 stroke again since '08 is the last year for the RM...

Honestly though...the 4 stroke bikes are a much better riding bike on the track.

Dude....you are so ass backwards it's insane! I love the 4 strokes , and would race them over the two strokes....BUT if i was going to race the 250 class....it would be a friggin' 2 stroke in a heartbeat. A well tuned 2 stroke 250 will destroy a friggin' 250F hands down!

I would trade my WR250F for my old KDX200 any day , I don"t ride that much anymore, the WR just feels top heavy and I Don"t like the power . the Kawi was so comfortable.

so your poll of a couple of hundred people tells the tail? Go to any local track anytime anywhere and see what you see! And jeffro.....had EVERY other rider been riding a 2 stroke during the MXON last year and RV on ihs 250F.....what would the outcome have been? THE SAME!

I'm pretty sure it doesn't tell the "tail" but I do think it tells the "tale". As I said, I started it a few years back and the ratio from the very beginning has been just about the same. You also have to remember not everyone rides on a motocross track where 4-strokes are given an artificial advantage by manipulation of the rules. In my club it's probably 75% 2-strokes and 25% 4-strokes. That's pretty much the ratio I see at every hare scramble and Enduro and most of the time it's nearly always 2-strokes taking all the top spots.

I have a KDX200 and a YZ250. I can tell you that Kawi will not be selling me another bike. Doesn't hurt me at all. Kawi on the other hand loses my money. The KDX will eventually get replaced with a GasGas or KTM. The YZ will get replaced with another YZ. Nobody I know that rode a Kawi 2-stroke will now buy a Kawi 4-stroke because they can no longer get a Kawi 2-stroke. They will just be getting a 2-stroke from another manufacturer.
