As always some new names in the front. Horgmo finally looks like he has a lot more patience. Great comeback ride

It's amazing what can be done on 2005 model based bikes, with great young riders, ain't it? w00t cool

yes i watched him ride some of the swedish rounds a moth ago and he looked super good then did go 1-1, really good riding style.

Toendel has such a fun style, super aggressive that suits a 250. Last year he was a bit sketchy on the JWR Honda 450.

Track prep appreciation post. So much fun watching guys switch lines and battle back and forth when the place isn’t rutted out and there’s still traction for days.

Fredriksen got docked 5 places. Ignoring yellow flag?

My guess is because he cut the track on the opening lap. On top off the hill with the table and with that right hander down the hill, he was inside the track on the grass and went full speed down hill. Looked he gained a few spots there.

Stream is completely gone for me? Doesn't show day 1 at all anymore. Happening to anyone else?

|

6/26/2021 7:27 AM

Damn that looked nasty. Pulled the red flag out pretty quick.

He didn't look too good, hope he'll be ok. I've never seen so many yellow flags getting waved.

Shame, it was an epic race.

Østerhagen and Bruce probably have no idea who the old dude picking up Zanchi’s trophy is lol

Amazing line choice by Horgmo at the pit lane. Shows the difference in speed (EMX250 vs MX2) f you compare him with last year in mx2. Seems like the bike and team are better for him too!

Weckman has an amazing line in that right off camber turn too. Passing a few riders around the outside

Fredriksen's supension looks horrendous compared to the other top riders that he's racing against.

Doesn’t say much for 16 years of 250cc development, does it?

It makes you wonder.

Could you imagine any team using a 250 4t from 2005, in this day and age? Most of the 4ts out there are at least 3 to 4, or more, redesigns on from that.

But, goodness knows what Dr Jan V W has done with that engine - he's so, so much more than just a 'Tuner'. And the bike looks so smooth. Lapucci, if he keeps this up, will be on a lot of Teams 'to sign', lists.

I hope that young fellow in the 125s (who got 1st in the 2nd Moto, with the long standing [most] Motorsports rule of position the lap prior to the red flag) is OK. It looked like he was caught a bit under the other bike, at least on the way down, so, it was a real pile driver of a hit, that may have had the weight of the other bike and rider to ad to the force.

Each year I look at Matterley and want to ride on it. A great track for the Worlds Best Riders, and an old bastard on a walking stick, who goes puttering about on an ancient 500 2t!

Matterley is one of the better tracks, but it still looks too fast to me. It’s so much easier to set up passes when you’re not going 50mph.

I’ll be really interested to see what the (limited) 4000 crowd tomorrow looks like compared to the 40,000(?) that YS have always claimed for previous unrestricted events.

I could see making a section of the track a little more technical but I would hate to see wholesale changes just to "slow" things down. It is the natural character of this circuit imho.

Least he looked talking to his team member when they moved him to medical center. Got knocked out bad. Hope he will be back soon.

How cool would it be if they would allowed 250 2 strokes in the GPMX2 class. Lapucci could pull in some great results.

Still suprised after those years it’s possible not more rider choose to ride that bike. I know you need to be on a 4 stroke in the GP class, but normally you should say a 250 2 stroke is an advantage over a 4 stroke. You could ride yourself into the picture of GPs teams and still could drop to a 250f.

On the other hand, can Lapucci compete in the EMX open and 2 stroke class when there is no EMX250? Or can you only compete in one class? He got the bike to race all 3 classes...
