Just got home.... what a weekend.

Another stunning raced served up by minimal track prep, due to the threat of bad weather.

Things to take from the weekend.

Never ever ever discount a fit Antonio Cairoli .

The one day format sucks balls, because you lose the chance to bench race on the saturday night

Prado and Herlings are both 'off' right now

Kevin Strijbos can still turn the throttle

After a miserable Russia, Ben Watson showed why he has a factory 450 ride, putting in two solid races for a top 10 overall.

Steve Dixon is a fucking legend.

MX2 is anyone's, after Vialle didnt ride today. Fernadez looks like he has the kit to back up his Russia result.

Ashton Dickinson and Taylor Hammal took points in both races, punching above their weight Dickinson on a new rride, and Hammal coming back from losing a finger tip. Respect to both

Conrad Mewse had a day to forget, which seems to be the way things are rmore often than not.

Being at a GP for the first time in 16 months was FUCKING EPIC.

Great racing today!
I doubt Herlings is showing his real potential?Cairoli and Gajser had their moments,i think Herlings plays it safe and is satisfied to be on the podium. The season is very long,so let‘s wait and see.

Whooo?

With the tracks we have seen the past few weeks, race craft has made a comeback.

Just noticed another pretty amazing stat from the MXGP class...

There were ZERO lappers.

4 dnfs in race 1, 31 riders on the same lap
2 dnfs in race 2, 33 riders on the same lap

Damn that was some really excellent racing though. The first 10-15mins of MXGP race 2 was truly epic... and the last 5 weren't bad either.!

As Phil G said, Steve Dixon is definitely a legend for organising this weekend, fantastic weekend, great racing. He should be on the queen's honers list for always stepping up.

So who is the oldest person to win a MXGP overall, surely AC is up there?

Listen to MX Vice post race interviews on Spotify they talk about it there.
Thanks, just listened Gruebel talk about it. Still having a hard time wrapping my head around how something like that happens. Thank god both walked away without anything more serious.

As good a GP as i have seen.. Much better to watch than the rut fests of the past. Just need the second Factory Honda out there.

Not many lappers in MX2 either. Those that were were as a result of crashes.

There is usually replays available on offroadvideos.org 1-2 days after the event.

Cairoli defies the laws of nature. A top contender for the mx1 world title, still winning GPs, and he's about to be 36 years old.
That dude is a warrior. He's insane.

OsterHagen was the class of the field , but Bobby Bruce was very very good.

But like all the EMX classes, its a knifedge, a fine line between winning and being 15th, just on a start.

Lapucci was great on the Fantic, if he can hold it together for a few rounds he can get a decent points break while the rest fight over the places... i think Steven Clarke went something like 1-10 for 2nd overall one year , its that type of class.

Cant wait for Maggiora
