A little background-

Grew up in NorCal and spent my younger years riding and racing the Mutant Motorsports series and some random District 36 races. Went to Chico State and started racing the WORCS series pretty heavily. Rode the crap out of some 250f's and then when graduation rolled around I joined the Army to be an Airborne Infantryman. Spent some time in North Carolina, Alaska, and Washington. During that time I sold my trusty 2009 YZ250f, which was a very sad day.

Fast forward to today, my wife and I now live in Bend, Oregon. She grew up in Eugene and one day said the magical words "You should buy a bike again honey." Keeper I know! We just purchased a house using the VA loan so I wanted to find something used, fun, and easy (cheapish) to maintain. That equates to one thing in my mind: Two Stroke!! After weeks of searching I found this 03 KX125. It wasn't first on my list, especially since that was the one off year for linkage and exhaust mounts, but it rips for a 15 year old bike. The owner just put in a fresh top end and kept up on the maintenance fairly well. I was able to talk him down to a reasonable price and away we went. I would've loved to find an 06+ YZ but all the ones I saw were either so clapped out or the guy was asking wayyyy more than I was willing to pay. The plan for now is to ride the piss out of this thing, and eventually do a PC build, circa early 2000's. Also dropping the monster graphics like a bad habit...so gross. Thanks for viewing!
More pics to come when I can actually see my garage floor and move this bad larry around a little bit!

And there goes Jeffro. One of God's own prototypes. A super high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

My wife told me the same thing when I came back from the first gulf war. What a woman. You have made a better choice than I did though. I bought an '88 XR600R. Great bike but heavier than an Abrahms tank. Happy for you buddy.

That is one clean bike. Great find-have fun and welcome back to the sport and to the board. You will want to get a 250F down the road. Whatever you do, don't sell that little beauty!
