What do you think. Wants $2000. Original owner.
He thought 15-30 hrs ridden. He never did anything to it. He thought that was great. Oh well.
Started first kick and sounded good. He took the filter off because it was rotten.

Xeno. How the hell did you find the bike im looking at

|

That's a good price you better jump on it!

|

9/22/2020 4:19 PM

I'd be all over it for that price.

While that is a good price for what, at a glance, appears to be a very intact an unmolested 96 CR250, take a closer look at some of that aluminum corrosion. I'd say it comes down to what you want to do with the bike. If you want a rider the corrosion might not bother you. But if you want to restore it to showroom glory that corrosion is going to be a much bigger PITA than one might expect. I say this having lived in a tropical, humid climate near the ocean before and knowing just how bad that kind of corrosion can be.

Good eye FGR, at first glance I would say buy it but it does look like it’s been ridden on the beach a bit. Bummer the seat has a chunk missing as well. My first 80 was a 96, love the looks of those bikes! I swear my 80 felt faster than my 2000 cr 125!

All day! Great bike/price. They’re double the price in CA

Of all the bikes we've had, the 96 CR 250 was one I wish we would have held onto. One of the best 250 engines ever produced imo. Tons of power that came on real smooth, handled pretty darn good too. I'd snatch it up for 2 grand personally.

Buy it!The best Honda 2t ever build.
I had my for 3 years, the cilinder was still looking new after these years.
The issue I had was the steel backplate of the clutch basket was broken and damage the carters.
I repaired it sold the bike with pain in hart, I bought a 00 RM 250 except the good steering that bike hasn't half so good as the CR.

Buy it.

Good starting point for a resto, or great starting point for a rider.

|

Id try for $1500.

|

Good deal. Could easily double your money.

|

def worth it. i dont have enough data to give you an accurate assesment of what its "worth" but $2,000 is a fair price considering its stock

That thing is sick, cleanest I’ve seen. I have 2, they are tough bikes, and green sticker in Cali!

It is still there on FB now. And a brief look at the seller's FB page is pretty funny considering all this !

Have sold five bikes this year. What a cast of characters. Some of the tire kickers alone. Should taped these people in action. You either get a straight up buyer no qualms or the wheels dealers.
