This is a brief before and after look at my best buddy, Jamie Conard's badass 1991 Yamaha Bradshaw WR500 build.

He has a beautiful 1989 Honda CR500R and 1988 Kawasaki KX500 as well.

Someone in Atlanta stuffed a WR500 motor in a modern aluminum framed YZ250 a few years ago. Bike was sick.

Awesome video... that thing sounds great! Just rebuilt mine (Wiseco piston was all that seems to be available). Everything is within spec, freshly honed, but still makes a lot of slap noise. I’ve had some people tell me that’s normal for these? I wish it sounded more like the “after” portion of this vid!!

I saw Bradshaw race that thing at Millville in 91. It was a hot and muggy day. Not good for an air cooled bike. Was hoping his engine would stay together, it was banging pretty loud towards the end. I Thought it was cool, that he was going to race it, blew past JMB on it.

Unfortunately pete24 is no longer with us so don’t expect a reply. He had some amazing builds.
