I'll watch the video, but if memory serves me correct, it was either the CR or the KX that won. I'm leaning towards the CR.

Also, KTM has come a long ways...

I currently have the 1986 CR125. What a great little bike! The bike corners a lot better than any of the modern bikes and is lighter than anything out there today. My bike has upgraded suspension from a CR250 and it's performance right there with modern suspension. Only thing bike is lacking compared to modern bikes is engine and braking power

Cool video! I didn’t get into Mx until 93 but I remember seeing some of those bikes around the track still. Love looking back at that era. Def missed out!

A clapped out 86 CR125 was my first bike. I'd love to ride one again now that I can sort of ride after 20 some years. Not willing to buy or fix one up tho.

My very first brand-new bike was a 1986 RM125. I still remember the envious looks my buddies gave me when we rode it for the first time, along with the sweet, sweet smell of grassy mud and cosmolene baking off of it in my garage when I got it home after the first ride.
It was slower than all the other bikes but I loved it.

As I have preached many times before my 86 CR125 preped by Aussie legend Gary Benn was my best bike ever.
Pulled my fat arse on starts, even in all powers classes, for my best racing year.

Too many people live and die by shootout rankings. I had the dead last bike in the shootouts many times in my racing career! But i felt even more satisfied when i won on it.

Motocross has always been much more about the rider than the bike. Any bike can win with the right rider at the controls.

I had the '85 then '86 kx125. I swear I remember the 85 having 1, and the '86 having 2 radiators? The gearing on 86 no good, 1,2 too close, 3 too far.

I had an 86 kx125. Terrible bike, just terrible. They turned it around in 88 though. That was a good bike!

The KX 125 didn't get two radiators till 1990.

I remember the huge shroud on the '85, but no recollection on '86.
