Just found out ride engineering makes a linkage for the 19 kx450. Anyone tried it? Is it worth it? Much of a difference? Thanks

Well I own a 17 and the difference was very noticeable. Absolutely worth the dough. It is a much better ride with it.

Yeah I have a pro circuit link on my 15' and it was definitely a big difference but someone said pro circuit wasn't gonna make one for the 19' because they didn't feel it needed it or something. Not sure if it was true though. So I'm wondering if anyone has tried the ride engineering one

I thought I heard on keefers podcast that the ride link lowers the rear 8mm. That seems like a lot of weight switching to the rear.

I'm running the stock link, but I have rides 21.5mm clamps up front, and shew does she turn. Its super stable at speed though still. I'm a believer now after running 21.5mm ride clamps with a kit spring forks on my 16, so I gave them a go on my 19 and love them.

I know that ride engineering will only release a product if they feel it improves on the the OEM design. I watched their video for the 16 KX450F and the owner stated that they would not release one since it didn’t make any difference. I think that shows they are not out to just make cool looking anodized bits and pieces for profit and are focused on improving upon what comes from the factory.

They are upfront with the changes in their newsletter here

Says optimum sag at 103-104. So, may squat a little more in the rear, which from riding with someone this past weekend, said it felt like it needed it to remain a little more stable under heavy accel and chop. Probably worth it.
