So..... anybody think Forkner will run the #13? I would not.... LOL. Former nat number 13s have had a rough time.

How does Weimer keep #12 if he only scored 5 points all year? Don't you need to score 25 in a season to keep your number?

Out with injury. I believe you can make a case to keep it because of that.

I'd run the 13.

Edit: I did run the 13 for awhile. Then for some reason was told I couldn't run it because it was reserved for the pro's....I was on 85's.

If I were Forkner I'd run the 13 because 35 hasn't been doing him any favors.

I don't believe in bad luck...you make your own luck. If you think a number on your bike is going to help or hurt your performance, you have a very low opinion of your own abilities and looking for excuses.

this number system is so dumb. I do like the past champions having permanent numbers, but career numbers...eh. sorry this has been beaten to death... i digress

What’s the deal with #13? Obviously the jessy nelson incident but can someone fill me in on who else had issues with it that made some people so superstitious about running it?

It's pretty funny that people can be scared by a number

It's not just in moto or racing. Do a search on the number 13. They don't use it in elevators.

They may not use it on elevators or floors, but it is still 13th...all of this over a number.

I know it’s a superstitious thing in general, but that gt80 dude basically said it’s been a reoccurring thing in moto so I was wondering what’s happened besides jessy to support the “bad luck” theory

I think Tortelli didn't have the best luck with it.

Wharton rocked it for awhile but can't remember how that season went.

Ricky Johnson ran the 13 and had his wrist landed on that ended his career. If I remember correctly.

Ricky wore the 13 the year after that happened, he was number 13 because he missed most the season before,

If you make your own luck, why don’t you go to the casino and win roulette....every time.

I hate 13.... hate it. I was handed back 13 bucks change at a convenience store the other day, I gave the clerk a dollar tip to keep it outta my wallet. If I ever have an amount of cash in my wallet that ends in 13 at the end of the day, I take some out for the swear jar..... 13 sucks.

Would be pretty difficult to build a 14 plus story building without a 13th floor. Lol.

I never really got why the 13th floor button wasn't in elevators. Out of sight, out of mind I guess.

What's your reason for hating the number 13 so much? You must have a reason.

That’s not because the owners or elevator companies are afraid. It’s because they are afraid their tenants or customers will avoid.

I thought with the new rules Forkner has no choice but to run the number he earned?

Ha, you guys remember when LaRocco ran a #6 under his back fender so his bike didn't have 666 on it?

I get being superstitious in a sport as dangerous and unpredictable as moto, but letting riders skip #13 just seems silly, and further complicates an already convoluted numbering system.
