cash in fist ready to buy right now.
based in Pittsburgh pa, everyone in PA is closed.
Called a few WV and OH dealers and in typical fashion nobody calls me back.

I figure a 19' is worth 6500 and a 20' 7000 in this market w/o tax including all bullshit fees, and that's being generous as economy is only getting worse for next 2months...

If you've recently called for either of these for yourself please share some pricing you're getting.
If your in middle of country or south east please chime In if you've got or seeing deals like this or better

only guys I called and got a number from so far...
Ridersville cycle in WV has a 20 fc250 for 8250 +tax which is way out of line. (bought a 19 250sxf a full yr ago for 6500 otd)

Try KTM of Pittsburgh. They’re a new dealer outside of Pittsburgh. Pretty responsive through Instagram @pittcycles

This man really believes he can set the price on a motorcycle 😂 Any idea the margins on bikes? Any idea how a dealership works as far as acquiring bikes to have on the floor?

“bUt I’vE bOuGhT nEw BiKeS bEfOrE”

I also love the theory that cash in hand means a single fucking thing to a car or motorcycle dealer. Oh so you’re going to offer less, not going to finance any parts and accessories AND the dealer gets no kickbacks from the finance company? Sign them up!

You’re not the only person in America with the money to purchase a motorcycle right now.

Bear in mind this is the same guy who wanted $8300 for his "modded" 2020 KX250 as seen in another thread.Grinning But it did come with the manual, spark plug wrench and triangle stand.

6500 otd for a 19 250sxf... id like to know where especially in the Pittsburgh area. Dealers around here are super stingy. Also reguarding the kx250f different fuel pump mapping without any engine work? And stock suspension ? NEXT.

PS: You killed me with the trials boots in the video

Just saw it. I can go get a brand new one from my dealer for about $1500 less than his. All the parts he added don’t mean crap to most people.

dude your the one with the bad reading comprehension, he said he bought a 19 250 sxf for 6500 OTD. You do know what OTD means right?

You guys are obviously confusing OTD price with DTR price. You see, OTD stands for Out the Door. That only gets it to the parking lot. If you actually want to bring the bike home, you have to pay the DTR or Down the Road price. There's a huge difference.

well I called no less than 10 dealers today and only 2 had 1 of the bikes. Everyone else said don't have any 4 strokes or no 250's and were not getting any more in this year. So looks like I was right, the guys who already blew them out did and they guys who didn't are stubborn and asking full retail and will regret it in 6mo.

Have another 8 dealers to call tomorrow since they are closed Mondays fingers crossed.

I think this is going to continue for at least 8more weeks and people will be hurting LONG after. That said I still want a new bike and I want a good deal on it.

So let me make sure I'm understanding you correctly - the dealerships already have low inventory, they won't be getting more, AND you want them to sell the bike to you at a loss?

yup. sell to me now and break even on your already 8month old stock or if it continues like this ill take it later for a huge loss to you.
everyone floor plans and it costs them in 90days/6mo if they haven't sold it. you are better off taking +100$ to -300$ on a unit you've had for 8 months because it just isn't going to sell. simple.

Not everyone utilizes floor plans. There are a lot of dealers who purchase their own inventory outright. I'm sure you knew that though, no possible way you could be that obtuse.

Trying to cash in on a businesses desperation to make a sale?

From myself and all small business owners here on vital Mx

FUCK YOU

You’re the worst type of customer there is to deal with.

“Your bikes only worth 7k to me since the economy is taking a down turn”? That’s some of the dumbest shit ever man

People like you seem to think if you have a business the money just fucking grows on trees or something? The total disregard for the other half of the sale just makes me sick

Carry on

Bullshit there’s plenty of people out there still working and buying, I’d rather close my doors than to cater to people like you

Maybe you should ask your parents for some more money to afford a new bike along with all your other toys 😉

No wonder why you have no concept of money or good business

I’m sure you will eventually find what you’re lookin for. Then you can “mod” it out with bar pads, skid plates, and triangle stands 👍🏻

Been here awhile, Ive seen the bad ass bikes this guy has built and sold. Pretty sure he's retired and doing better than most of us.. lol not here to defend or offend, just throwing out my observation.

Aes (action extreme sports) in Ohio is a top of the line mom n pop store here in Ohio that I believe youd be happy with as a whole.

Idk.. sounds like he can’t afford a new KTM being he’s so price conscious..
Maybe a left over Suzuki is within his budget?

I've been in sales most of my working life................I have a saying. 50% of nothing is nothing.

I don't care if its if its a two wheel or 4 wheel, their is typically margin to be made even on screamin deals.

Moving merchadise at low margin to keeping people working would seem to make more sense for a busienss than holding the line on price and then having to lay people off.

These large dollar destination cost and other fees sure enough go to botton line margin. It doesn't cost 1500 to ship a scooter in a crate. I bet the FOB on an averge floor plan is about 3500 bucks if I had to guess.

I sell Engineering serivces and we are looking hard at our rates/prices on our quotes going out the door to do our best to keep people working.

Again, 50% of nothing is nothing.

Pick a bike and ride it. You're likely losing more money doing all this bike swap nonsense than you're saving trying to shop around. Those are left over Japanese bike prices for a KTM, good luck finding that. Not sure why you didn't keep your 19 sxf that you supposedly got for $6500...

This guy must lose thousands on bikes.... He's the same guy trying to find used pro bikes in the for sale section.

He must lose so much money..... Weird how he would spend so much time to save money on a KTM but has sold the last like 5 bikes he bought new(modded them too) only a few months after....

He HAS to be that C class rider at the track on cone valves who cant clear a 10 ft double.
