Seems to me a lot of the crashes these riders are having on the new CRF450 are similar

Roczens 2 crashes (I know the first one was part rider error) & Gajsers crash from Germany and this weekend are similar

Seems like the bikes bottom out too easy and make the rider go OTB, how much ground clearance do they have at full compression??

Less than 1 inch ground clearance when compressed

In Gajser's case, he stuck the frame into the face of a sand roller before the suspension really had much to do with the situation.

In Kenny's case, he overshot a rhythm lane by just a bit, bottomed out the shock by going deep into the transition between those jumps...the shock packed and released the energy as he took off, plus his body position was forward to push through the jump as he tried to save time and catch the rider in front. Stuff happens...

Both are minor rider miss-calculations.

The newest CRF has only 2mm less ground clearance than the newest RM-Z450 and YZ450F.

Lets see this list of internet complaints...all I'm hearing is praise from the teams and riders on it. Including Andrew Short telling me he'd rather ride a stock 2017 CRF450R than the full works 2016 model he had at his house...

Speaking of Andrew Short maybe it's time for another Q&A session?

Don't think he's been on here for one of those?

I've asked him more than once, he's not too into it. I don't blame him, some bad eggs on here cause too many headaches.

It was worth a shot. Never know unless you ask right?

I totally get why he's not really into it but it's not like he would have to answer every questions. He's had a long career and he's got a lot of fans so it would be nice to hear what he has to say on things.

I'd be curious to know what he really thought about the KTM 350 now that he can openly talk about it.

You're talking bullshit. Gajser also crashed a lot with the 2016. He was just lucky to not get injured in those crashes last year.

Trolling much? I have ridden the bike all kinds of different tracks and it has never done anything strange. Neither I or any of our team riders have crashed bad with the new CRF450R.

If it is mx or sx there will be crashes and usually the bike is not the blame. I'm pretty sure neither Villopoto or Stewart were riding CRF450R's?

Don't ruin the conspiracy theory for the Honda haters.

Or riders just make mistakes and shit happens?

I've become a firm believer that many riders are missing fundamental skills, whether mental, bike skills, fitness etc., which hinder their progress... A great example could be found in Osborne. Fitness might have been his weakness and under the right trainer and program he had an extremely successful season...

Guys like Dungey, CAROLLI, RV, RC, McGrath are multi-time champions for reasons of their own... Complete riders...

Crashes happen, and so far pretty much all I see is praise for the new Honda compared to the 16.
