#17s CRf450r or TC250?

11/24/2016 9:54am
Can get The smoker from the future for 8300.00 OTD The Honda is gonna be $10k if I'm lucky... The Honda dealer has no clue when you would get it but "were taking deposits"
So the "White Katoom" or wait for big red to fix their factory from the earthquake damage and build the bike?

My friend has one and it's perfect I wouldn't change a thing, genuinely fast and feels noticeably lighter than a 16 fc250.

Go Tc! I picked mine up and have close to 5 hrs, Super happy with it! And, the difference in money could go a long way for quality aftermarket parts on the 2 stroke. I'm biased towards 2 strokes though...

I love 2 strokes too!! I'm really feeling the Husky! It seems like every time Honda comes out with a new bike the marketing arm brainwashes the public think it's so great. Then the mags say it's slow.. It hasn't won a championship in a decade in America.. it's Husky time!

Did you notice much difference with the fmf over stock pipe?

ok there are two TOTALLY different bikes you want to choose from there, the Hondas arent far away from hitting showroom floors in the USA and indeed some have them already...maybe your dealer isnt as aggressive as others in getting them there earlier.

To choose which one you want comes down to what you want to ride, if you think you can win races in your class/skill level on the 250 2 stroke then go for it, but if others in your class are faster because they race 450's then get the 450....kind of that black and white...oh unless winning isnt your priority.

the 17 250 2ts are actually quite four strokey and nowhere near as edgy as the smokers of old but you are right they are quite different bikes. not sure the 2 stroke would be a disadvantage to most people on here that are in good shape

Honda IMO, my fast kid rides '14 tc250 and loves it. He rides the pass out of it every w/e and the engine shows no wear. Well over 100 hrs on the bike. BUT it's a pain to keep up in the top 5 int. @ twmx so he sticks with +25 int and nov.

A friend of mine bought a 17' tc250, coming from a -15 ktm 450, its the worst bike he has ever ridden according to him.
Not sure how it handles in the hands of a slower rider though, he is a former AMA pro.

When your nickname is "Still2strokenIt" and seeing how your post is written, I assume it was a rhetorical question. If you want to ride two stroke, please do but this seems a bit stupid.

250 is a 250 in amateurs... 450 or heavy weights are a different class unless you are a pro bro. Name one dealership with a 17 cr?

Says the Honda fourstroke avatar guy...

I do like 2 strokes. They are better for the sport, easier to maintain and race.
It depends, your probably a practice guy you would not understand. I've had lots of four strokes but they are expensive and expensive to maintain.. I think what you missed was I did not want to wait.

I'm on the the fence between a new FC350, or a TC250- ol' 48 yr old A guy... I've got a few motos under my belt on a 17' 350 sxf, and it is by far one of the most fun bikes I've ridden. Very curious how I'd adapt back to the smoker.

Same here 350 or 250 2 stroke I can't decide. But, I was not impressed with my 15 250 sx so I'm hesitant on either. I went back to a yz 250 again and it's Meh like all the other yzs I've had.

so if you dont want to wait then buy another brand????? given you lean towards a 2 stroke TC then why not get the Husky or KTM 4 stroke then??

at this point if you dont have a pre order in for a 17 CRF450 you won't get it until February
