And if I’m not mistaken they grew up around each other 15km’s apart

Kim Savaste crashed this morning and is out for todays EMX Open races.
Shame. Seemed like he would make a season without injuries.

Newly crowned EMXOpen champion Karel Kutsar will race in MXGP tomorrow as a wildcard on an A1M Husqvarna.

He's in the scene for quite some years. He won an overall in EMX250 last season (or maybe 2 seasons ago already) riding for the official Yamaha-team.

He started this season in MX2, but after the lockdown he transferred to MXGP. He scored around 15 points.

The people from Fantic asked him if he wanted to race the final rounds of EMX2t for them.

Well, that "Little Farmer" (his words, or words to that effect) : Canadian, Kade Tinkler-Walker, did enough to secure 3rd OA in the 250 2T EMX series.

On a 2008 RM250 that an inmate here, Lastander , had a bit to do with getting it to him.

Great effort.

And, that Old Brit Hard Man, Brad Anderson, got his 3rd (?) 2 Stroke EMX title.

Some question the existence of the EMX2T series, but I'm happy to see it still exist. With that and the EMX125, well, you get a damned sight more than a 4 lap exhibition race.........

EMX2 series still allows 2t 250s, and, I'd hope that the "Open" EMX races allow 2ts.

They should be precursors to Equivalency in the MX2 and MXGP series.

People often go on about the lack of 2ts in EMX250, and that will always be the case when the MX2 and MXGP doesn't allow Equivalent Capacities. As Riders need to prove themselves on 4Ts, and Teams are completely committed to 4ts, while idiotic rules are in place.

This artificial Monoculture of Highest Level racing, is just so bloody pathetic.

Yes, I'd say the 4ts would still dominate the World Championships, and US SX and Outdoors, as that's what most of the manufacturers make, only , and those that make 2ts, have 4ts to sell, while having no difficulties in selling their 2ts. And the 4Ts are so, so bloody good now, with much more to come, so they have, for a long time, not needed any 'Handicap Rules' to protect them.

A mix of equal capacity 2 and 4Ts out on a track, make for great racing, and a truly great variety of sounds.

Well done to BW919.

Hope Geerts is ok. Strange as he seemed to get straight back up on his feet after the crash and next thing he was on the deck. Maybe someone hit him?

Vialle looked blazingly fast.

Great last ride from Desalle and Paulin! Thanks for the memories.
Such a shame they couldn't finish such a great career in front of a big audience.
Not really ready to see them retire...

Cairoli ends the year with two moto wins. You have to go all the way back to 2004 when he had less in a season.

Impressive week by Van Doninck. He is well known as a great sand rider, but to back it up on the hard pack on a totally different bike with no seat time is impressive! P6 second moto and not far from the factory Yamaha bikes is a good audition.

With the results he had the last 6 gp's he deserves to be out there next year.

Gifting just keeps making us Swedes proud and shocked. And Östlund seems to catch on and has been putting in some really good results this last half of the season. It's already the best results Sweden has had in many many years. Bring on 2021!

Does Ostlund have another year on 250? How old is the kid, been there for a while now.

That’s exactly what I thought when he hit that bank.

Despite the crazy year it’s pretty cool to have racing into November as we all know the smaller off season there is the better....particularly on here 🍻 maybe schedules could be mixed up for the future

He's ageing out. I could see him on JWR Honda next year.

Expect an April date for round one next year though, so the off season length for MXGP will be pretty much the same. Opens up pre-season races to run in maybe better conditions, most notably the Hawkstone International. If you were there this year, you know!
