Hello, I bought 14 yz250f forks thinking they would work on my 15 yz250, what will I need like an axle, spacers, and maybe a brake rotor will I need to make the conversion a reality?

Happy 4th!
Thank you,
-Ben

Its the same fork. Is the 250f one coated?

It is not the same fork. You would need triple clamps, a wheel and axle. The upper tubes have a different profile and are longer by 7mm. You could always swap out the tubes from your existing fork and only get a front wheel and axle.

damnit, This is kind of a nightmare for me, so what my next question is is can I take my 250 F forks and combined them with the inner and outer tubes off my 250 two-stroke to make a single set of 250 two-stroke capable forks with the original lugs, inners, and outers of my 250 two-stroke work but use all the internals are the 250 F work because what happened to my 250 two-stroke Forks is i broke a sub tank and one fork which broke the sub tank in the other fork which rendered the internals useless in both forks Sad

Any more insight thank you so much guys.

You could do that. Or what about ordering a set of Ohlins internals?

What exactly is broken? All KYB parts can be ordered from Technical Touch. Yamaha also sells cartridge assemblies.

Why? What's wrong with your YZ forks?

Oh that's the opposite of what I meant! The redicukusly helpful was serious! I've called my dealers and suspension guys and no one knows but you is what I meant!

And my yz forks blew a sub tank in one form so it blew both and make it so I need 2 new compression assembly, so I thought I was smart buying second hand yz250f forks. Also, my yz has 25 hours since. New so it's frustrating that this has to happen

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I thought you were saying we were not answering your questions.

You can get just the fork caps. Technical Touch or Suspension Direct have the OEM ones, and there are a few aftermarket companies making them also. Maybe there's more damage inside, could you post pictures of your compression assemblies?

Also, this seems like a pretty straightforward problem. If your suspension guy doesn't know what to do, I suggest you find another one.

My fork guy is factory connection....
I had the option to purchase the compression assemblies for 500 a piece + labor and odds and ends which totaled 1250, i opted to just buy some relatively mint yz250f forks off a 14 off eBay for 700 bucks. I thought they'd fit! My bad! So I am gonna pull three two sets of forks apart and salvage one set that will fit my 250 2 stroke flawlessly. I'll post up when I have a solution. Thanks again everyone and specifically sheriff

Did you show them the damage? I would be surprised if FC wouldn't know how to fix your forks... Could you post pictures of the damage?
