Deep, deep sand. Three GP's within a week, the track will show who's fitness is on point. It will be a slaughter! It seems it will stay dry most of the days, with temperatures around 13°C.
Additional classes: EMX125 (round 13, 14 & 15), EMX250 (round 13 & 14).
It will be the week of truth for Jago Geerts. This track offers him the chance to decrease Vialle's lead of 52 points. But to be fair, if Vialle doesn't make any big mistakes, the title is his.
In MXGP I expect big things from Prado. He practically grew up in and around Lommel, so I see him win at least one GP. A lot of contenders for the win, though. Cairoli, Gajser, Coldenhoff, Febvre,...
Also, Lommel will host the finals of both EMX125 and EMX250-championships, with EMX250 racing only the first two rounds. Here it's a showdown between Benistant and Guadagnini, with a difference of 18 points.
Difficult to say who will take it. Benistant races with a Dutch team, so he trained in the sand a lot the past couple of months. Guadagnini has the momentum with 6 race wins and 3 overall wins in a row, and he has some experience as a wildcard in MX2 this and the previous season. So my guess is Guadagnini will take the championship.
In EMX125 Bonacorsi holds the red plate on his Fantic, with a gap of 42 points on Meico Vettik and 53 points on David Braceras. As Vettik is the better sandracer and with experience in EMX250, I see him closing the gap.
Excited for the races, unfortunately spectators are not allowed.
