I deliver a hazmat load to Long Beach on 3-24. I,ll try to find out the port situation is. Problem is manufacturing of everything is behind. Congress is trying to make being an IC illegal. So over 1 million drivers will lose there jobs, including me. At least I won’t be stuck with a 150k truck and a 1,200 a week payment. 05-07 cr125,s are really hard to find
Help a brother out, what does IC mean?

Independent Contractor. Like a person who buys a truck and under contract Leases on with a co. A lot of IT workers are ic,s also. Anyway my delivery to Long Beach and Pu in Anaheim was no big deal. Pay to park in Ontario, I was going for a walk and it started raining. Both loads where over weight, I told the shipper in Cal. How I needed to be loaded, I,m concerned that he may have bad hearing. I got the crap beat out of me all the way to S. Carolina. I talked to a black container driver at the Cal. Shipper, he ignored me. He couldn’t get the door open on his 20ft container. I walked over and said I,ll show you a trick. Leave the rt door unlatched, open the left door to unjam the right door. I asked him about the ports, he said there is 2 that hv long lines and the others are not that bad. a lot of containers in the Charleston SC. Area today also.

I have a KTM, but I specifically want the Yamaha for him as it has a bit more bottom end and a better suspension package. Just feel it's a better fit for his skill level.

I got my 11 year old a 2018 then they came out and now at 15 he has really grown with rhe bike.... the only thing I bought was a lighter spring when we first got it. Clicker changes as he got faster.

Aside from that, changed the needle clip and I've never ridden a bike thats so crisp and clean running... especially off rhe bottom.

Since you already have a ktm, sorry, but I think you are nuts to source your kid the yami. I am not saying its a bad bike, but nearly every part swaps between the 250, 450 and 125 so it makes life a lot easier.
What Bruce said. There is nothing better at all on the YZ vs the KTM/Husky 125. Suspension can be made excellent with the correct tuner & the power is way more adjustable. Add a 38mm Keihin & a STIC Metering block and you will have more bottom end than you can believe. KTM is way easier to work on also..........

My Son, not quite 14, has outgrown his 85 before he even really learned how to ride it. No way I'd put him on a 250F, but new 125's are scare if not impossible to find right now, and the used market is littered with 10 year old, $4,000 project bikes. Yes, we could buy a roached $4,000 2008 YZ125 and make it "as good or better" than a new bike for about the same cost, but it would still be a 13 year old bike. I hope the OEM's are noticing their missed opportunity.

In about the same boat and I've been looking around and you are right nothing but junk out there.

I think older 125 Moto prices will rise for years to come. If I had money to “spend” I’d buy all I could up even now with inflated prices. The Collector in me thinks the cr,kx,rm will sell at a premium eventually. example: 1970s monkey 50.

In June of 2019 I bought a very clean 2012 YZ125 for my son from a guy who used it to ride around his farm. Had only 20 something hours on it. I paid $2900 for it and thought that was high. I gave it a fresh top end, and tore down the suspension, including swingarm and re-greased everything. Also had a local Enzo guy, re-spring and revalve it. Since then, he's only put 8 hours on it. I wonder what I could sell it for today?
I'm used to bikes gradually going down in price, maybe I could break even on the $900 I spent on the suspension?

It’s a 2007 in REALLY good shape.

Some of the peeps around h’yar commented that it was pricey.
Laughing
Fresh Wheels
Some “New Look” plastic up front
Fresh FMF exhaust
Fresh top-end
Guts seat/foam
Bars that I actually like! (Always a bonus)
Etc., etc., etc.
I gladly paid the asking price and said,”Thanks!”
It’s a blast to ride. I’m gonna race it this weekend against all the other old guys and their 450s!
Woohoo
Sweet. Value priced; saved you time and money on same upgrades you'd probably do.
