I was at Farleigh Castle this weekend and the 125 class never failed to disappoint. There were 4 or 5 guys battling for the win all weekend long..you just can't beat it. If you want to win you just have to ride the balls off your bike and put on one hell of a show for the fans.
What do you guys reckon, is 125 racing the best our sport offers? In your dream world would all pro level racing be done on 125s?

That's hands down one of the most fun looking tracks I've ever seen.

Unleaded tastes a little tangy. Supreme is kinda sour, and diesel tastes pretty good.

125’s will forever be my favorite bike. To watch, to ride, everything. But I do love a good 250 smoker too

Honestly, I’ve had the most outright fun racing friends on a pit bike. Theres just something special about racing on under powered bikes that allow more people to find the machines limit. Nothing sounds better than 40 125’s to me.

Why i never miss the 125 dream race at washougal since it started in 2012.

Love 125’s, but I also miss hearing factory 250 smokers in SX. The sound they made powering up the face of a triple or going across the whoops was amazing.

That reminds me a lot of the tracks I raced in Kentucky in the late 70's. Thru the trees, across the creek, minimal prep, and slicknrnsnot when wet.

Big jumps are cool and all, but I wish we could have more style tracks like this available to the public. Wouldn't discourage newcomers as much either.

Tracks like this usually don't do so well or last long. Newcomers don't want to ride with exclusively other newcomers. They want the whole MX experience just like anyone else.

Hey Too Fast- I would agree that 125 racing is really awesome, but the fact that you sped up the video really sucks.

This is very similar to racing Saprky’s Cycle Ranch in Georgia. Awesome fun.

125 racing is different than any other engine. something about the full size underpowered 'ness of it just makes a racing different.

sidenote, is this layout at farleigh from the 60s? its pretty cool

125 racing is hands down my favorite part of the sport i have experienced. Simplicity.. cheap compared to todays standards, the sound and smell... bring it back

125's have always produced the best racing and still does. I love the Farleigh Castle's old school track layout. It proves that you don't need big jumps to produce great racing

I loved watching 125 outdoor Nationals....bikes screaming non stop and keeping up your momentum was so critical. Nothing could beat those races for excitement.

Wasn’t nearly as fond of 125 SX. For SX my favorite class was the 250 2-strokers

125s are without question the most fun I’ve ever had racing and riding.

Ohio motocross association has a cool small bore setup For the 125 class.

100cc-151cc open. Puts a good number of 125s on the gate. Occasionally you’ll see some fast super mini riders as well, it not often. I’m unsure if they actually know the open displacement rule.

125 racing is awesome. Gets 12 year olds to 50 year olds on the same track. In Ohio 30+ and 40+ guys are in the top 5.

Awesome class. I agree with OP 125 racing is great!
