If you wanna watch 125’s, MXGP TV is where you wanna be, unless of course you already have it.

Agreed MXGP-TV covers every single race, even the 85cc when they race. And not just a stationary camera or two, but full coverage with announcers and all. The fact that NBC Gold won’t cover the 125’s is ridiculous.

I sometimes feel like there’s some conspiracy in the states not to cover the 125’s for some reason. Doesn’t the wider audience want to see the up & coming riders, racing on the same tracks as the Pros?

DC has commented on this subject before, boils down to costs. The camera persons need to be paid more, they need a lunch break blah blah blah.

Those must be highest paid camera persons in the world then... MXGP or other series run 2 long days.. and those union people at states cant do more than 4 x 25min motos per day?

Don't even get me started!

It does seem DC / MxSports is trying to get their feet wet with the 125 class here again , which is cool for a start. But.....no coverage and 4 - 5 laps just doesn't seem like they really care to much about it.

From the outside looking in , there seems to be a lot of red tape bullshit going on. " IF " it was a true 12 round championship .....how important would that series be? If it was super important.......guess what other top AM event's may feel threatened? Some fast kid's decide to do the whole 12 round national 125 series " Instead " of the " other " big name AM events , would ruffle some feather's.

This is just my opinion , and I'm going to speak on it because it frustrate's me! The MXGP coverage of the 125 class is no joke! And they treat that class very , very seriously....as they should! Here.....they treat it as a 3 ring circus. BUT......again , it is cool that they are at least looking like they are trying to start something here.

OH......and on time constraint's.......I'm sorry I call bullshit! There is a lot of down time / spare time in which nothing is happening on the track. Run 1st moto before the 250's , and run the 2nd moto in intermission. The first moto's are at 1pm for Christ's sake! 4 Main 35min moto's at 1pm , 2pm , 3pm and 4pm.....and we seriously can't squeeze in two 25min 125 moto's? Really?

The first rule of 125 racing is you don't talk about 125 racing.

I ride a 150 but even I get where the decision is coming from. What would you say if your boss said "hey I'm going to need you to work through your lunch break, but go ahead and clock out anyway"

Shhh.......don't tell all the local rider's that , or those damn near full gates of 125's at the MXGP rounds. As some idiot on here a while ago stated " The 125 class is just a fad , it'll die off sooner or later ".......LaughingLaughing

As it keeps growing , and growing and growing......

It's not just the 125's, it's motorcycle racing in general in the USA IMO.

I would happily watch those even without Weege and GL... Don't need anyone talking over the sweet sound of 125's singing.

Since we're bitching, make Sundays about Motocross again! Saturday is a work day for way too many in this day and age. Hard to close down a shop of 25 people so all your employees can go watch some pro moto on Saturday. Oh, and make 125s on TV!

DC: Please find a way to film the 125 races. Maybe ask GoPro to sponsor it with 100% (or close to it) helmet cam footage.

I would be very happy indeed if we could get a few full Moto helmet cams!

Thinking about it, it is like the 125 “series” is the KTM juniors of the outdoors. A cute little sideshow. At least the kids get a cool day out of it, and even get a little podium interview. And as for the cameramen not getting a break or something? How long is a 5 lap race? 10 minutes?12? God forbid. There is no excuse for not broadcasting the 125 “series”. I don’t know what it is, laziness? Greed? A disdain for 2 strokes?, or a complete disregard for what so many fans are clamoring for? And it’s not like they would need to move crews into position, or get some massive change to broadcast equipment, The cameras are literally right there. They are just turned off, because someone doesn’t want to pay the additional 10-15 minutes, or someone really needs that 10 minute break.

So we have determined that the 125 race will be held during camera operator lunch break. Thanks, good job, case closed.

Does anyone know if these cameras can be pointed at the track, left on, left alone and someone in the broadcast truck switch from camera 1 to camera 2 etc.. and follow the race around the track?
