Ok I say you should make 20 of these for the best B riders in the states to ride at the east and west rounds. Make the 250f class run the whole SX season and have these as the up and comers way to show there stuff!

In the CR 125 engine line, I always liked the 1996 thru 1999 power best.
Most tuners agree.
So if i'm building the engine from new parts anyway, why not start with the engine, that later year CR 125's were trying to replicate?

That's what I had figured, Looks like a fun bike. Then again I don't know all the work that goes on to make an AF so retail might be worth it.

well, the cost is driven by assembling any new 2 stroke engine from scratch /from new parts.
add in a new bikes cost.. and the other parts to convert.

The real news is we are looking into FI for this model
it has a carb currently, but the FI option should be soon.

I see, An FI 125 in a modern 250f frame! That's gonna be a bad ass bike. What sort of FI are you using a kit or adapting one from another bike?

How much does it weigh?

Very nice, like FTE asked what is the weight? Have you guys done any conversions into a Suzuki AF with the 500 or 250 two stroke motors?

I know Tallon Vohland used a 95 cylinder on his FMF CR when he raced the series 99? 00?

Why would you not use the engine Honda sells to kart racers? Is there something different about the configuration?

Great job Service Honda! Using the mid 90's motor is a smart move. Now put a $5,000 price tag on them.......you couldn't make them fast enough!!

Everyone and their brother who ran Hondas in the 90s did that. I know we did.

the cart racers prefer the same engine the moto guys do, so thats a yes and no answer..

Wink

yes- its the same Honda 125 engine.

no - its not the exact same *kit engine*, as the cart engines dont have they clutch assembly..and other engine parts valuable to a dirt bike application Wink

Yeah AJ, totally nice bike!

Aren't your CR5's fuel injected? Or am I thinking of the non-stock ignition?
10/21/2011 11:43am
Think there will be a market for all those 250F motors that you pull out of those frames?

Very telling how potent the 2-stroke engines are. 12 year old technology being used competitively today. VERY COOL! Also like the business plan on Service Honda......... Give the customer what they want (500/125) 2-stroke in a modern chasis.
