You may be able to clean it out with a thin piece of plastic slid up into the seal. Also being tied down that long may have let a little get by the seal especially coming from the cold. It may be fine after you ride it.

try pulling the dust seal down and cleaning the oil seal with a seal saver, piece of milk bottle(plastic), laundry bottle, etc. Probably dirt.

I’ve tried this probably 20 times over the years and you know how many times it’s worked? Zero. Haha. 9 times out of 10 your seals are torn.

Really? It’s worked probably 90% of the time for me, and I’ve done it a lot due to the type of riding I do.

For future look up a tool called seal doctor, its a plastic unit that clamps round the fork leg and clears any grit/dirt that may be causing a weep. Ever since buying one years ago I have never had to replace a fork seal

with such a short riding window, it is your only real option. Worth trying, use a bit a brake cleaner too, just protect your eyes.

Use a tear off. I swear the last 5 Kawasaki’s I’ve bought new have ALL leaked at around the 10 hour mark.

I have one of those also. I think they are made by Risk Racing, but mine was a KTM product.

Allan Brown Motorsports - he builds the engines for MX101-Yamaha Canada...he also tests and writes for DirtRider.com & he's got a shop right in there in Riverside...and he's a Canuckian.

You can reach him at 1-909-215-1900

Just clean it and ride it a few laps it’ll probably stop. Most likely had some dirt stuck in it while it was tied down for the trip.

Riverside like mentioned above Precision Concepts Racing. They are super knowledgeable and easy on the pocket. Quick turnaround also.

That’s the same tool I used. Maybe I just have terrible luck since I seem to be in the minority, but my seal leaks have always been from small knicks in the lower tube creating little burrs. Probably depends on the type of riding you’re doing as well (soil type, eating a lot of roost, etc).
