I would start racing again if it would be on that track--PURE Motocross!

Anybody remember the shot from redbud 450 class, it was the first lap and they caught em all coming off the ski jump from behind scrubbed out. Air traffic control was the caption I think.

Love this shot too

Damn, I read all 9 pages looking for this photo. No one posted it so I was gonna post it when it was done looking at all of them. Then its the very last photo.. Hahah!

This was always one of my favorite photos ever. Not many people could literally make jaws drop like this guy. The fans faces are the best!

There was an artist who put out a series of MX posters in the early/mid-80's and I think he was someone who "got" the MX vibe. This was my favorite: titled "Hooked Up", even as a bit of a cartoon it really captured the hang-it-all-out-there nature of motocross, especially in the late 70's. (Sorry for the iffy quality - poster is above the top rack and is too hard to get at for a clean shot).

1984 Daytona Supercross. O'Show launches to space. No wonder he has bad knees.

Ryno lost a chain if I recall correctly.

Laurence had a locked-up gearbox.

Motocross to me is about natural terrain... less groomed (if THAT was where you were going with that) Whistling

What is the story behind this pic?

I'm not sure. I found it in another post awhile ago. not sure what race but looks to be 2000? Someone else may know.
I think that this is Danny Smith in 2000 on a CR125 at Anahiem 2. He was trying to catch Tallon Volhand for first place in the main and was the only one doing a massive quad and was like 3 seconds a lap faster.

Okay well my two photos are related to one guy that motivated me to ride 50 years ago.

1) The first one was a photo that Michael (FTE) took. Awesome shot of Roger under power and in form. He was nice enough to get me a copy that I had Roger sign and it is up on the wall in my office.

2) The second one I always thought was one of the coolest photos showing total commitment that ended up becoming a Bel-Ray poster.
