The Shop
No wonder the skill levels are more apparent come mxdn (or when euro riders do well in the states)
Can't say I don't wish Lupino could have rode Thunder Valley too... Would have made the comparison a bit more fun.
TG243 was on fire.... Class of the field for sure.
Imagine Herlings or Tomac doing this....they would already be filming movies about it...
That said I wasn't a fan of Russia at all and I can't say it's ever a good idea to put a tabletop in the middle of a dry, dusty, off camber, fast sweeper haha
Looks like a cool paddock area and shit though
Pit Row
Was looking solid in second.
Febvre should of won yesterday.

It's quite a good track. Not every (well, definitely not) track should be "Chocolate Cake".
Hard pack is Natural. Outdoor MX, should reflect that, and the geography / geology of a region.
I would have thought a few of the people who seem to just live to slag track GP tracks, might have had their eyes opened by the Colorado National this year. Hard packed, polished sections, a bit of dust coming up from rear wheels, and not just an endless slot car track that's caused by deep, deep tilling. It was a welcome thing to see.
Orlyonok : ruts, in some sections, still developed, but not the seemingly endless, near 'all the track', that comes from some set ups.
As I've written quite a few times, I can't imagine the squealing from many, if modern racing was held on a tracks as (deservedly) venerated as Saddleback and Carlsbad. Seriously challenging tracks, with seriously challenging surfaces, that would have so many whining like a baby without it's favourite dummy in it's gob.

I'd say that's what befell all prangers over that jump.
A few pranged, a lot didn't. That lead up to and face of the jump was the same for all. A bit of a bump at the base of the jump ramp - combined with a shed load of speed and throttle - to set Herling's moment off, and a hard, hard surface .
Anyone know who, and the condition of, the bloke that was on the RH side of the jump for a while? He was there for quite a while - I hope he is OK.
